Meaning of Report
Hyundai IBT, as a member of society, have published 2014 Annual Report to make public
its business activities and social activities to many of stakeholders transparently, such as
customers, stock-holders, investigators, cooperative companies, staff members, and local
communities, and to provide vision and strategies of the company. Report written in
Korean has been published, as well as report written in English.

Hello?
Hyundai IBT has made an effort to improve its
profitability for last year, although it had entered
into the fierce competition of display markets. It is
about to be changed because it made a judgment
that it would be hard to assure permanency of
business with current business structure.
It is on the way to make strong restructuring for
current labor force and cost, and through such an
effort, it will be constructing the optimum
business structure which could be rationalized and
assure the profitability of previous display
business.
All members of executives and staffs in Hyundai
IBT will make an effort to improve continuously

abroad as many as 300 or overseas

Hyundai IBT is promoting the display
business which is more profitable and
has high level of growth by being based
of monitor business which has steady
market share in global market.
As the first time in the world, it commercialized TVs which could realize the real-time 3D
broadcasting program in field of 3D display, as future part of digital display, and currently
it is broadening its market share with its competitive products by retaining the Outdoor
Digital Signage State-of-the-art Technology which has high technological barrier in the
field of Digital Signage.
Hyundai IBT will lead aggressively the display market with research and development by
promoting the next generation display business.

Three directors, Director Sang-ki Oh, Director Hyun-beum Chung, and Director Myung-geun Lee,
structurally organize Hyundai IBT. Election of directors are abide by appropriate procedures of
commercial laws, and for independent perspective in the board of directors, it is mandatory to elect 1
of 3 directors as an outside director. For prevention of possible collision that may arise between the
director and the company, according to prohibition of competitive transaction, all the directors are
prohibited to perform business in any kind identical to the company without approval by the board of
directors.

Hyundai IBT has made an effort for changing into new organization as well as
satisfaction and individual development of all employees, and to become the
company where anyone wishes to work.
Our company has made an effort to improve working
conditions and equal inclusion of women, as part of social
responsibility. It operates welfare strategy for women such as
monthly menstruation leave, 90 days leave after childbirth and
rest facilities for women.
As CEO’s strong commitment, our company prohibits the
gender discrimination, education discrimination, discrimination
about regions of origin. Compensation and labors equivalent to
the labor and wage policy for employees are being made fairly
in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and
labor/wage policy.

Health Management for Executive and Staff Members
Management of Executive and Staff Members’ Health and Diseases
Hyundai IBT is performing free comprehensive medical examinations for continual
monitoring of executive and staff members’ health levels. All executive and staff
members can voluntarily select type of examinations they want to receive, and through
such benefits, company encourages all members to work in healthy conditions.
Reinforce in Enhancement of Executive and Staff Members’ Health Conditions
For creation and maintenance of pleasant working environment, Hyundai IBT operates
certified health management programs such as management for obesity and creating
non-smoking areas. For prevention of muscle and bone diseases, ‘injurious investigation
for muscle and bone diseases’ is under progress. Members can receive clinical diagnosis
for individual spinal cord conditions for management of every member’s health. In
addition, in order to determine exposure of injuriousness in working environment to
staffs, through ‘working environment estimation’, assumptions and tests are conducted.
After verification, revisions are made to such facilities for creation of more pleasant
working environment.
Reinforce in Safety of Executive and Staff Members
Company prioritizes safety as rank ‘0’, and the company is always reminded how safe
performance of executive and staff members can influence their lives and to their
families. For such careful considerations, company supports accident insurances and
covers medical expenses for their families. Monthly visits from security management
officials are made for training executive and staff members about safety educations for 2
hours. Company is equipped with exercise equipment that members may use and for
recent 2 years, there were no industrial accidents.

Health and Safety of Clients
In order for clients to use safe products,
Hyundai IBT considered using environment,
possibility of electrical shock, conflagration,
and any other accidents. Such considerations
are applied for evaluations of any
impediment factors for product’s safety and
its performance.
Compared to the fact that past products’
quality was only limited to its performance
(performance: tensile strength, rigidity,
reliability and functions, etc.), recent
development was made by products
satisfying clients’ taste (color, design).
For upcoming products, the company is putting effort towards production of high quality
products that satisfy both environment and safety.

Client’s Privacy Protection
With strong belief that protection of client’s privacy protection as the very first step
towards management based on client’s reliability, Hyundai IBT had sat forth various
privacy protection activities for clients. The company obeys laws and legislations related
to protection of privacy, such as ‘Information Communication Network Promotion and
Information Protection related Legislation’.
Client VOC Management
For domestic cases, Hyundai IBT is performing client satisfactory survey through
investigation institutions as product users and A/S clients as subjects. Investigated results
are shared internally and establishment of sectional revision goals are made for
management. For international cases, prompt management is taking place through
performing surveys by visit for customers semiannually.

Hyundai IBT has made an effort for its innovation with many aspects, since its
establishment as of 2000.
Institutionalization of Innovation
Hyundai IBT is manufacturing its products with international standards and certifications
such as various ISO, CE.
1. Obtaining ISO 14001 Certifications (Environmental Management System)
It obtained ISO 14001 as one of ‘ISO1440’ standard series about environmental management system established by TC 2076 of ISO.
Obtaining ISO 14001 certification in the certain organization(Corporate) based on the enough requirements for standards of ISO14001, with focusing the environmental management as strategy of the corporate, and by selecting its concrete and detailed goal, for the achievement its goals, it means that the company regulates the organization, and procedures. And it means that the company divides many of material resources effectively to manage the organization, finally for improvement environment continuously. Hyundai IBT is operated its own business through the environmental management systems.
There are many series of environmental management standards in the ‘ISO 14000 series’ as international standards such as the environmental management system (ISO14001), environmental audit (ISO 14010 series), environmental labeling (ISO 14020 series), environmental achievement evaluation (ISO 14030 series), all processing evaluation (ISO 14040).

2. Obtaining ISO 9001 Certification
[GATT: General Agreement on Tariffs and
Trade] had launched ISO 9000 series to
knock down the technology barriers
between countries9000, and the series is the
system to certify the ability of qualification
assurance by the third parties(Certificating
institutes) assessment of suppliers.
ISO 9001 means international standard
about qualification management system
which ISO limited, and it is the system to
certify that products provided to customers,
service system to be satisfied the prescribed
requirement and to be maintained. Also it is
most comprehensive certification system
which could assess the abilities about system
construction for qualification system among
series of ISO 9000.
Hyundai IBT is operated through such a system of ISO 9001 qualification system.

Environmental Policy
Hyundai IBT, as state-of-the-art display manufacture, has set and executed the policies
below to grow in harmony with the environment.
1. Based on the national legislation and international environmental agreements, there
are strict internal standards and procedures to comply with.
2. It considers the environmental impacts that occur through the entire process such as
raw material purchasing, production, sales and disposal and manage and improve
them continuously.
3. Continuous improvement of environmental management systems and environmentally
friendly production techniques through the development of pollution prevention and
resource conservation is actively promoted.
4. Training program needed to their jobs environmentally is provided to all members of
employee, and requirement of environmental management system is notified to
cooperative companies.
To achieve this environmental policy, environmental objectives of the effective action plan
and subsequent implementation are set and executed periodically, and its performance
would be measured and be open to public.

standards of Type 1 trend and moderate verification level. In reference to AA1000APS(2008) Verification principle,
comprehension, importance, and responsiveness regarding the principle were verified for its appropriateness.
Limitations
According to the above verification standards, verification about 2014 achievements were made, however,
reliability of partial data including financial achievement, environmental data (greenhouse gases, etc.) which are
reflected on the report, and information outlined on the website are not included in this verification process. As
well, verification was only limited to the document and if further performances of onsite verification procedures
come into effect, there can be some changes in the result.
Verification Procedure
The verification followed following methods.
1. Using GRI G3.1 Guideline as standards, verified accordance of report details and quality of report to the
principle, and investigated description methods and reporting ratio for each indicator.
2. Appropriateness and expressive errors of described details within the report was analyzed by comparing with
other reports from exterior references for verification.
3. Through telephone interview with the responsible authority regarding internal document review, verified
evidence for data and Information.
Verification Result
The verifier had verified that the report prepared by Hyundai IBT had reflected continual management
possibilities in activities and achievements. As well, 3 principles in verification is the inclusivity, materiality and
responsiveness and verified details reflecting these principles are as follows.
1. Inclusivity: Participation by interested parties
Inclusivity refers to the principle allowing interested parties to participate during strategic action methods for
development and the company holds such continual maintenance responsibilities. Through this verification
process, the verifier confirmed that Hyundai IBT defined major interested parties in reference to the inclusivity
principle. As well, publicized communication channel for each interest parties. For upcoming reports, it needs to
include various communication channels and activation to reflect opinions of numerous interested parties, and
through such channels, establishment of systematic management methods for general organization of issues
exposed on the report is recommended.

2. Materiality : Major issue selection and report
Materiality principle refers to the determination of issues that are related to the organization and interested
major parties surrounding the organization. On this verification process, the verifier had verified that Hyundai IBT
described major achievements on economy, environment, and society for contribution of the report. However,
selection of major issues and reporting process are omitted. Therefore, establishment for materiality evaluation
methods is recommended concerning major issues which will be outlined on the upcoming reports and for their
balanced reflection on concerned core issues on the report.
3. Responsiveness : Corporates reaction to the issues
Responsiveness principle refers to the corporate's reaction to the issues that might influence on the
achievements of other interest parties. On this verification process, the verifier determined reactions of Hyundai
IBT for economic, social and environmental issues. Especially establishment of goal for environment responsibility
and its activities are well reported. For further reports, analysis of complications and possible strategic details are
recommended to be included and to perform achievement guideline and monitoring of systematic maintenance
plans. As well, through evaluations, have reflections of concerned issues on the report to specify Hyundai IBT's
consciousness.
Recommendations
The verifier had highly evaluated various efforts and achievements by Hyundai IBT Co., and is recommending
following details for improvement in the management levels for further report publications.
1. It is recommended to establish reporting system through GRI report after establishment of process to
determine of major issues and open to the related interested major parties.
2. It is recommended to explain why its issue is important for the reporting issue and summarize Hyundai IBT’s
corresponding rule and activity to make the related interested parties well understand.
3. Perform systematic monitoring of achievements by CEO, or executive members to regularly assess and
manage the management for environment and social contribution report.
