2014 Marks Fifth Year for BrightStarCare® Recognizing Caregiver Excellence

It’s easy to get caught up in the rigors of daily life. It’s especially hard for those learning to adapt to challenges that may come along with aging or even coming to terms with a difficult diagnosis or new illness.

In the aftermath of a debilitating accident or as a health condition progresses, people in these situations often turn to caregivers for support and, in special cases, get even more than they could have dreamed of.

As selfless as they come, the best caregivers are often also the ones who would never characterize themselves as “the best.” These special people naturally go above and beyond to help, believing no task is too tall. They see their clients as more than their condition and connect with them on a personal level, learning about their special quirks, listening to their stories and honoring their wishes. To them, caring for someone is more than just a job – it is a sacred commitment.

At BrightStar Care®, 2014 marks the fifth anniversary of our Caregiver of the Year award, our fifth year honoring the compassionate care professionals who are nominated by a client and their family for making a profound impact on their lives.

Each year, hundreds of nominations come pouring in from across the country. Through an extremely difficult review process, the nominations are narrowed down to four regional Caregiver of the Year finalists.
