CNG fuel systems. The CNG system is installed at the Honda factory. The new

Honda City CNG offers a sporty and stunning design, more comfort with a spacious

interior, and is fully equipped with smart technology and premium safety features.

It is now available in three variants at prices ranging from 612,000 to 711,000 Baht.

Mr. Pitak Pruittisarikorn, Chief Operating Officer of Honda Automobile

(Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “The 4th generation of the Honda City, which was

launched in January 2014, has received great feedback from customers in its

segment. This is a result of our determination for the ongoing development of the

Honda City to make it the ideal car with an outstanding interior and exterior design,

excellent driving performance, advanced technology, innovative equipment, and full

standard safety features. Today, Honda offers more value to Thai customers with the

launch of the new Honda City CNG that supports both gasoline and CNG fuel. The

CNG fuel injection system is installed to the highest safety standards at the Honda

factory. The new Honda City CNG is developed to meet customers’ needs for the

ideal value-for-money vehicle.”

The new Honda City CNG is powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine that supports both

gasoline and CNG fuel. The gasoline system can generate up to 120 horsepower at

6,600 rpm, with maximum torque of 145 Newton-meters at 4,600 rpm, while the CNG

system can generate 102 horsepower at 6,600 rpm with maximum torque of 127

Newton-meters at 4,800 rpm. The bi-fuel engine system, combined with a new CVT

The new Honda City CNG injection system is completely installed at the Honda

factory to the highest safety standards. The 65-liter CNG tank is made from high-

quality steel that is highly resistant to gas pressure. It is bolted firmly in place on a

steel mounting bracket and the body structure is strengthened in line with safety

standards. A solid cover separates the CNG fuel tank and storage area, protecting it

from rear impact. The CNG gas cap is designed to be installed right next to the fuel

cap and has a safety lid to prevent the reverse flow of gas. The new Honda City

CNG also has a CNG switching button to change the fuel usage and a Gas

Remaining Display, which is a light displaying the use status and CNG fuel level.

Altering the fuel source is controlled by the ECU to offer precise calculation for

proper CNG fuel injection and there is a cut-off in case of emergency. The front and

rear suspension are specially designed for the CNG engine to provide good stability

and a smooth ride for all driving conditions.

The new Honda City CNG has a CNG emblem that reflects the unique value it offers.

The comfortable and spacious interior is fully equipped with smart control technology

including a One Push Ignition System, Honda Smart Key System, wireless and

Bluetooth audio system, and ECO Coaching feature. All Honda City CNG models

are built to advanced safety standards. The body design is based on Honda’s

G-CON safety standard and is strengthened with a cross bar. All variants of the new

Honda City CNG come with Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA); Emergency Stop Signal

(ESS); Hill Start Assist (HSA); Dual SRS airbags; Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) that

helps control steering during heavy braking; and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD)

to ensure customer confidence for all driving styles.
