Residential (Single Family & Condominium) Market Statistics for Northern Kentucky (Boone, Campbell, and Kenton Counties) as of August 31, 2014.
Housing Supply and Market Statistics
The housing supply for the month of August (2014) was 4.6 months, unchanged from last year’s number of 4.6 (August 2013). In August (2014), 41.25% of homes sold within 30 days or less, up just slightly over last year (August 2013; 40.5%). By contrast, 22.28% of homes were on the market longer than 4 months (August, 2014), which is even with last year (August 2013, 22.73%)! August (2014) featured 543 sold properties, down ever so slightly from last year’s 550 sold properties (August, 2013). (Some sales may not have been reported at the time this data was collected.) Of the 543 properties sold last month, 14% involved a lender-owned/repossessed property (Bank-Owned, Pre-Foreclosure, Short Sale, HUD, etc.). The average sales price was $164,624 (August, 2014), up just slightly from last year’s average of $162,402 (August, 2013).
