2014 Annual Report A Message from the Chair Dear Colleagues: We are pleased to share with you the 2014 Annual Report for Northrop Grumman’s Employees Charity Organization (ECHO). Our financial results show that employees’ contributions to ECHO helped improve the lives of thousands of people in communities across the United States. In 2014, employees donated a total of $2,115,192. This included $1,862,348 to employee-designated charities and $252,842 to the ECHO Community Outreach Fund. All ECHO program costs were covered by Northrop Grumman, ensuring that 100 percent of employees’ donations went directly to charity. Contributions to our Community Outreach Funds were directed to organizations that help meet critical community needs like providing emergency food, shelter and clothing, caring for the elderly, providing educational and arts programs for at- risk youth, supporting military and veterans, and providing medical assistance and counseling services. Volunteers dedicated hundreds of hours to investigating grant requests for the Community Outreach Fund and managing its resources. The ECHO organization expanded and now includes the Melbourne, St. Augustine and surrounding communities in Florida. A list of some of the organizations supported by the 2014 Community Outreach Fund is included in this report. Due to the continuing changing economic times with individual funding decreasing, and funding demands continue to increase it is our duty to grow and maintain ECHO participation. By spreading the word about ECHO, you too can help raise awareness and increase participation. Please join us as we strive to lift the lives of others through collective giving. 2014 ECHO highlights: The Alan Dare Fund, bequeathed from employee Alan Dare to ECHO, provided support to: o Holiday Giving Program — $22K Thank you for your contributions to ECHO. We look forward to another successful year and to your continued support. Together we can make a difference in our communities. Jeanne Sinsheimer 2013/2014 ECHO Board Chair
