Members of the Implementation Team: Kent Andersen, Noreen Gaubatz, Kristin Harper (Service-Learning), Alan Litsey (rise3 Director), Mary-Kate Lizotte (Faculty-Student Research), Sara Robicheaux (Internships), David Schedler, Kristina Scott, Sandra Sprayberry, Kimberly White (Internship Coordinator).

The rise3 initiative engages students to think critically and creatively. Students experience a collaborative partnership in one of three domains: Research, Internships, Service Learning. rise3 courses and projects are designed to focus on critical reflection before, during, and after an immersion in a course or project. At the conclusion of the experience, students complete a summative reflection integrating three critical lenses: disciplinary concepts, personal growth, and civic engagement. Student accomplishments are celebrated in campus-wide forums, serving to recognize successful completion of distinctive projects and to inspire other students to participate.
