Team Score Orienteering: 3-person teams divided up 15 controls to visit and check in when the third person returned.

How the controls are divided is up to the team

But be careful to get all of them or its back to the forest for someone

The Team Score Orienteering featured fifteen controls on a 1:7,500 scale map

Relay: Three person teams, three similar courses, 45 students with 45 stories

The Relay Courses: Designed to reward fast running and quick, correct decisions

One third of the teams started on each course.At the end of the first leg half of the ‘A teams’ went on B, half on C, etc.

The best times were in the range of 15- 17 minutes for 1.7 km

Teams came from six schools in the Florida Suncoast area

North Port

Robinson (Tampa)

South Sumter(Bushnell)

Lemon Bay

Charlotte

PortCharlotte

Capt. Mike Farley of Charlotte and a student officiating crew from Lemon Bay were essential to the success of the day.
