DESCRIPTION

Political Savvy - Political intelligence is the pivotal skillset in managing stakeholders; equally, deploying better political savvy can reduce stress at work for you and your team members. The day-to-day angst caused by not being as politically savvy as necessary serves as motivation enough to learn more about this sensitive subject where privacy is under your direct control. This workshop builds on an earlier event so that you are: managing the motivation of your current team, using enhanced influencing skills and strategies, and combining them with smart communications planning so that you feel equipped to succeed regardless of the political landscape. The strength of the workshop lies in the exchange of ideas and experiences; and in the process of developing a strategy to make you less vulnerable to hierarchical power exercised by stakeholders. There are specific techniques which having been explained, can be tested in exercise form for enhanced engagement. The rest of the exercises are in 7th Book Advance Order: http://bookshop.blackwell.co.uk/jsp/id/Teach_Yourself_the_Project_Management_Coach/9781471801525 Jill Dann FBCS CITP - I‘m a coach, an author and an Associate of Ashridge Business School. Clients have told me that they find my hybrid skills useful and rare – i.e. IT and the people aspects of managing change. In 34 years of business-led IT change, I recognise that what goes wrong is often the people element more than the technical aspects and it’s that I help people with. http://linkedin.com/in/jilldann
