2013 APYACF: Social ResponsibilityJunior Chamber International (JCI) is a worldwide community of young active citizens ages 18-40 who share the belief that in order to create positive change, we must take collective action to improve ourselves and the world around us.

JCI is an international Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with active participation in the United Nations (UN) system. 2013 APYACF: Social ResponsibilityIndividual Social Responsibility (ISR)The 2013 JCI Plan of Action includes this concept of using personal development to create positive change by having a sense of individual social responsibility. The spirit of OMOIYARI inspired this concept of ISR, meaning every JCI member is responsible for his or her family, friends, JCI organization, business, community, environment and future. It is very important to pay attention to your surroundings. We create better active citizens to create better societies.Just as businesses have focused on Corporate Social Responsibility to contribute to economic prosperity within the community, JCI members should focus on ISR to highlight the individual duties that contribute to development within the community. 2013 APYACF Theme:Young People In Action for Creating a Sustainable FutureThe APYACF is recognized as a significant social responsibility forum which is especially designated to young people in Asia Pacific region.

2013 APYACF received positive responses and supports from business sectors, youth organizations, government officials, the academe, media and multinational and multilateral organizations operating in Asia-Pacific. The Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy or simply known as SCORE, is one of the five regional development corridors being developed throughout the country. The core of the corridor is the energy resources, particularly hydropower (28,000 MW), coal (1.46 billion tonnes), and natural gas (40.9 trillion square cubic feet) found abundantly within the Central Region.
