Health Care Reform PPACA Mandates
New in 2013: • Mandatory preventive services for women, including:
- Gestational diabetes screening- Breastfeeding support, supplies, and counseling
D ti i l i d li- Domestic violence screening and counseling- FDA approved contraception
Since 2011:• Coverage for adult children up to age 26
- Regardless of marital, student, or tax-dependent status- Coverage ends at the end of the month the dependent turns 26
• Over-the-counter (OTC) medications are not eligible for reimbursement fromthe Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- Exceptions: written doctor’s prescription and insulin
