Paint• Mix color one color at a time (darker color into the lighter color),

mix only small amounts of paint at a time, and mix on a magazine paper.

• Don’t use too much water on your brush- this will make the acrylic too transparent.

• Colors blend better if you blend while they’re still wet- don’t wait too long or the paint will dry.

• Use different kinds of brushes or sponges to create texture while painting! Use smaller brushes for details (usually add details last!)

• Don’t put too much paint on the brush.• Rinse brushes thoroughly and loosen the paint. Return brushes to

their original location with the brush tips up!

Hot Glue

• Hot glue should be used for any material that is too heavy to be glued to the mask with regular glue/craft glue.

• Follow proper hot glue rules:– Don’t touch the metal tip of the glue gun– Don’t touch the glue as it comes out of the gun, or while

it’s drying on the surface of the objects being glued.– Unplug the gun once you’re done and if no one else has

to use it.– Glue on a surface covered by cardboard.
