All Teachers (Except Art, Music, PE/Health, Character Ed./Design)
• Initial Assessment due October 12, 2016
• Mid Year Assessment due January 27, 2017
• End of the Year Assessment due June 2, 2017
Expectations ● Communicate parents if you have concerns about
student progress and behavior TIMELY ● Treat students the way you want your child to be treated ● 24 hour response to emails ● Be proactive! ● Share positive at the beginning of the year before you
have to share not so negative ● Encourage calling homeroom parents by the end of
September once to make initial connection
Parent Communication Expectations
All Teachers: • Weekly newsletters or website updates (approximately 32 times)
• Due by Tuesday 5PM (Regardless of Day 1, 2 etc.) • Email when updated each week. • Each teacher with 95%+ performance will get $100 gift card
at the last in-service.
Professional Development Expectations
All Teachers:
• NEW 1 Video recording and self assessment completed by the end of the year
• At least 2 Professional Development Meetings with me • Instructional I and non-certified teachers evaluated 2 times a year • Instructional II teachers evaluated differently • Mentor-mentee assignments/activities • We will assign days that you can observe other talents in the
building
Classroom Visits • I, Baris, your mentor and your cluster chairs will visit
classrooms throughout the day as much as we can • You will start visiting each others’ classrooms as we
have many talents! • There is no need for ceremony • No one is there to catch you. We are there see you
doing good. • I bring guests with me and never had to regret it • Invite me, Baris, and your cluster chairs and your
colleagues to your class and activity • Take pictures of your activity and share with parents
(Think Twitter, Instagram etc.)
