It always gives me great pleasure to welcome our families and many friends to our annual St. John’s Winter Gala. Being the biggest social event of the year, the Winter Gala has proven to be a wonderful opportunity to connect with old friends and meet new ones in an exciting environment.

IIt is truly a credit to the Gala Committee of the Parent Support Group as the effort and commitment to excellence has already made this year’s event the most successful to date! With the leadership of Kay Fung-Wang and Vivian Fung, the Gala CommitteCommittee has been an army of parents collecting, organizing and decorating with the results being this remarkable venue in which we find ourselves this evening. Their efforts have attracted a record number of guests, have generated the highest level of participation in our parent group, and have resulted in a very significant financial commitment by our families.

The funds provided from this Winter Gala will enrich the programmeprogrammes at St. John’s. I thank the table sponsors, silent and live auction donors, raffle supporters and everyone who has contributed to making this night possible. Your continued support of the school through your participation results in a stronger school, a more challenging environment for your children, and a clear indication of your support for the teaching staff.
