After decades of research, it has been proven that Limousin bulls used on an Angus based cowherds will produce up to 20%more pounds of calf per cow exposed due to hybrid advantages at puberty, conception rate, survival to weaning, milk productionand increased weaning weight. These hybrid matings will also result in an additional 1.3 years of productive lifespan in terms ofcow longevity and 30% greater lifetime production on average! TRUCKING AND DELIVERY...The three firms offer free delivery within 100 miles of the sale site. Truck-ing will be arranged by sale management and the owners for delivery tocentral points after the sale. The firms guarantee trucking to be nogreater than $200 per bull.

BULL GUARANTEE...All bulls selling have passed a Breeding Soundness Exam 30- 45 days prior

to the sale. We feel this is the best estimate we have to predict bulls that willgo out and service as many cows as possible in the required time period.

Although all bulls have passed a BSE, we know certain problems can ariseafter you receive your purchase. To help ensure your investment, the con-signors will guarantee bulls against breeding injury, and to be sound breedersfor the first breeding season. Breeding season is defined as the 90-day periodfollowing the first turnout of the bulls.

Checking your bulls prior to turn out each year is cheap insurance to as-sure your bull is ready to go! If a problem arises, contact us and we will pro-vide a replacement bull if available, or if the buyer prefers, credit toward abull will be given in the upcoming sale, less salvage value of the injured bull.Please notify us as soon as possible should injury or problem occur and priorto the injured bull being sold for salvage.

NALF percent Limousin blood ofregistered Lim-Flex animals is printed on registration certificates and performance records. Breedcomposition requirements for Lim-Flex animals can originate from parents of any percent blood thatmeet the sire and dam specifications listed below.2.) World’s largest cattle feeder give insight on cattle industry: Tom Brink of Five Rivers Ranch CattleFeeding challenges producers to crossbreed. Brink states that one trend that will bring more value tobeef is the expanding popularity of Angus hybrids. Specifically hybrid bulls of Angus based cows.

From a feedlot perspective, Brink believes the hybrid Angus trend will be beneficial to the industryparticularly on yield grades. “There have been cutability issues and overly fat cattle that the higherpercentage Angus cattle bring to the industry. Our buyers say the ideal Angus percentage is 50 to 75percent.

Part of the reason straight Angus is not a total solution, is hybrid vigor. “Hybrid vigor is still veryimportant at the cow/calf level and you can’t get that by crossing Angus on Angus for multiple gener-ations. But structured crossbreeding has been to hard to implement, especially for small producers.So the hybrid bull is convenient and brings the muscle that continental breeds offer to the table.

Limousin cattle. They now have the same look as Angus EPDs. For commercial pro-ducers this rescaling helps simplify the use of Limousin EPDs by managing the set ofranking benchmarks similar of both breeds. While EPDs of the two breeds cannot be di-rectly compared, if you know the benchmark within the Angus genetic evaluation, youalso know the EPD benchmarks within the Limousin evaluation. Twice a year EPDs arerecalculated to include any new data that has been submitted to NALF. This is done tokeep them up to date and improve accuracies.
