Nucraft recommends the use of water emulsion type polish to maintain the appearance of its furniture. While the use of polishes that contain wax, petroleum solvents, or silicones immediately enhance the beauty of the furniture, they will eventually remove the finish applied in the factory.

Finish numbers preceded by the letter “M” indicates matte finish, the letter “G” indicates gloss finish and the letter “H” indicates high gloss finish.

Matte: Durable and tends to nicely mask normal wear and leaves wood grain visible to the eye. It achieves a low luster open pore appearance (20-30 sheen range).

Gloss: Our standard treatment. Known as open pore gloss, it is a durable finish that achieves a medium gloss appearance (40-50 sheen range) and leaves wood grain visible to the eye. This treatment tends to nicely mask normal wear.

High Gloss: This is a full-fill hand rubbed treat-ment. It has a mirror-like appearance (80-90 sheen range) that tends to show wear as well as grain and surface irregularities to a greater degree than open pore matte or gloss. When viewed from certain angles, you may notice subtle rubbing lines, which are characteristic of any rubbed finish treatment. This treatment is applied only to top surfaces on products under 50” in height.
