2012 STRATEGIC PLANNING
Do you want to improve your business or personal life in the upcoming year?
Without having a detailed plan on how to take your
business or personal life to the next level you will likely not succeed!
First you need to come up with a Vision. What does life look like in 2012?
Your Vision can extend past just the upcoming year. Short and Long term goals, as detailed
as possible.
Include your Work, Family, Friends and anything else important to your life.
The next step is to come up with your Mission Statement. This is just a few short
sentences that describe your Vision.
(Read your Mission Statement Daily!)
Once you have painted this vivid picture in your head and put it on paper.
You are ready to start your plan!
Planning only consists of 3 things....
Strategies, Tactics and Activities.
• Strategies- A plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.
• Tactics- An action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.
• Activities- A specified pursuit or action in which a person partakes.
The next step is to list your goals that you have written in your Vision.
For every goal that you imagined you would like to achieve, you need to come up with 3 Strategies and Tactics for
each.

The next step is to create Activities that will compliment your strategies and tactics that will get you to your end goal.
Remember! You can always fine tune and add to your plan. Translate your Goals into Specific Strategies, Tactics and Activities.
Try to come up with a minimum of 3 Strategies, Tactics and Activities for every goal in your plan.
It is important to set time lines on your goals.
The only way to achieve your success is to plan for it!
Your 2012 Strategic Plan should always be kept visible at all times. Your weekly to-do-list's can then
be built around your Plan. Keeping your Goals visible keeps you focused on the task at hand.
Once you know what it is you are after, It is easier to
make it a reality!
