In 2008, when David Holdridge was just sevenyears old, he had a really good idea.

He wanted to combine his little sisters two favorite things, stuffed animals and

blankies, to create something that would make

the world smile.

Davids idea inspired the whole family and soon Happy Blankie was born. The

first creation was Giggle the Happy Pig, an adorable piggy-faced animal blanket

with a HUGE cheek-to-cheek smile.

David knew his idea was a great one because whenever anyone felt (or saw) aHappy Blankie they had a smile a mile wide. Then his mom, Emily, had a 2nd

great idea - give a blankie away to a child in need for every blankie they sold

AND let kids choose where they wanted it to go. Thus, one to love, one to give

became the core philosophy of Happy Blankie and now David and his family

and friends are making people happy two blankies at a time.

And that was the beginning of Everything Happy!

Giving Spotl ightUganda

There are over 1.7 million orphans in Uganda. Happy Blankie

has teamed up with Christian Life Ministries Orphanage in

Uganda, Africa. Christian Life Ministries is working towards the

goal of building 500 homes that accommodate 12 children per

home. Each child is given parental love, discipline, education

and health care. When construction is complete, the orphanage

Ronald McDonald Houses around the world offer families a

way to stay together, in proximity to t heir treatment hospitals,

and be comfortable and cared for during their stay. Families

are stronger when they are together, which helps in the healing

process. By staying at a Ronald McDonald House, parents also

can better communicate with their childs medical team and keep

up with complicated treatment plans when needed.

Since September 11, 2001, more than two million service member

have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan and more than 900,00

children have experienced deployment. Currently, approximately

220,000 military children have at least one parent deployed.

Celebrate the Military Child is a program of the SFC Jared C. Mont

Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonproft organizatio

that exists to bring parties to children of service members in every

branch of the United States Military and Reserves to

honor the sacrifce that they make.

Children living in the southern border providences of Thailand

fear the threat of daily violence. With peace and love, the lives of

these children will change and confdence and joy will be restored

in their lives. Happy Blankie is working with a Church that

impacts the lives of these children. This ministry provides love,

nd Happy Blankies at a baby boutique. Thekies were so adorable and ridiculously soft I knewaway that I wanted one for the baby girl I was

ecting. I decided on Giggle the Happy Pig, andson would give it to his new sister at the hospital toak the ice. Until my daughter was born, I kept the

kie in the crib, and it brightened me up every timeked at it. The blankie was a big hit, and I would

any admirers about one to love, one to give. Sixths later I wanted to buy a Tumble Bear for myr-in-laws baby shower, but the baby boutique noer carried the blankies. The shower was only daysy, so I called the company to see if I could pickething up directly. During that phone conversation,nd out about the Everything Happy Consultantram. I am a stay-at-home mom and taking care
