Tom GleesonPerforming at the Caulfield Racecourse EveningTom Gleeson is one of Australia’s favourite comedians. You may have seen him on Good News Week, The 7PM Project, Thank God You’re Here or at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He is the cool, calm, funny bugger behind every desk on every panel show doing the rounds. However, it is performing live on stage where he really shines.
As a stand up, there is not much Tom hasn’t done. He has performed at all three major comedy festivals in Melbourne, Edinburgh and Montreal,
as well as the invite-only Kilkenny Comedy Festival in Ireland. He’s been nominated for a Helpmann Award twice and won the Piece of Wood Comedian’s Choice Award at the 2008 Melbourne Comedy Festival.
Mr. Geoff StapletonManaging Director of Global Sustainable Energy SolutionsGeoff Stapleton has been instrumental in developing solar training and capacity building both in Australia and overseas. He has co-authored a number of notable publications including Grid-Connected PV Systems Design and Installation – an expert handbook to solar planning, design and installation.
Geoff set up Global Sustainable Energy Solutions as a renewable energy training and consultancy business in 1998, and is a part-time lecturer at
University of New South Wales. Geoff will provide you with an insight into issues that surround the design, installation and maintenance of grid-connected solar systems.
Mr. Patrick McKendryChief Executive Officer of Careers AustraliaPatrick has been a key advocate behind major training policy issues such as vocational education and training and employment programs, labour market reform, trade practice and competition policy for various industry bodies. He has served as Chairman of TVET Australia and the National Quality Council. During these roles he has brought together industry, employee, government and practitioner representatives to oversee and support vocational and technical education across Australia.
At this year’s conference Patrick will examine the future of apprenticeship training in Australia.

Andrew BaileyConference MC & Business Development Manager for Master Electricians AustraliaWith extensive industry knowledge and a boundless enthusiasm, Andrew Bailey is the perfect match for the role of MC at this year’s Conference. Andrew has developed innovative strategies and partnership programs across the electrical industry with leading Australian companies including Hager B&R and Master Electricians Australia. Andrew has been a key consultant for the Federal Government’s Home Insulation Safety Program – Rectification and currently sits on the Wiring Rules Standards Committee.

Tom HafeyMotivational SpeakerAFL legend Tom Hafey is a natural and inspirational speaker who is engaged by both football and non-football audiences.After coaching Richmond Football Club to several Premierships Tom Hafey was able to motivate Collingwood from the bottom of the ladder, to several Grand Final appearances. During his career in Football Tom Hafey coached four teams to Premierships, ten Grand Final appearances and is one of only six coaches to have coached over 500 AFL/VFL games.
Away from coaching Tom Hafey fulfils several media commitments with football and is now reporting for the ABC and Sport 927 as well as writing for Inside Football.
Clean Energy Council Clean Energy Expert The Clean Energy Council is the peak body representing Australia’s clean energy sector. It is an industry association made up of more than 600 member companies operating in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency. The CEC’s members are involved in the development or deployment of clean energy technologies such as bio-energy, cogeneration, energy efficiency, geothermal, hydro, solar, solar hot water, marine energy and wind.
The CEC advocates policy development on behalf of its members at the federal and state government level and promotes understanding of the industry and its potential through forums such as industry events, forums, conferences, newsletters and publications.

Minister for Employment and Industrial Relations and Manufacturing, Exports and TradeRichard has held various Shadow Ministerial roles including Manufacturing and Export, Community Development, Innovation, Scrutiny of Government, Freedom of Information, Industry & State Development and Major Projects.
Prior to entering politics, Richard worked in senior management roles within the manufacturing, disability, retail and international company sectors. Minister Dalla-Riva is the State Member for Eastern Metropolitan Region.
