WelcomeAs I begin my 34th year as Recreation Director for the Town of East Fishkill, I would like to take this opportunity to invite new and long-time residents to take advantage of our town’s many programs, activities and facilities.

In East Fishkill, we offer a variety of programs for all ages. If you enjoy swimming, fishing and picnicking, make plans to visit our beautiful lake at Red Wing Park. If you enjoy music, come to one of our free Friday night concerts throughout the summer.

If you enjoy sports, we offer baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, football, lacrosse, tennis, kick-boxing, cardio-aerobics, golf, roller hockey, volleyball, skate-boarding, frisbee, bocce, field hockey and handball at our Town Parks. Joggers, bikers and walkers can take advantage of our walking trails at the Hopewell Rec and at our new Lime Kiln facility. Also at Lime Kiln, you can work out on our new fitness equipment.

East Fishkill seniors can join our very popular Senior Citizen Program, which meets at the Community Center every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Youngsters may attend our excellent seven-week Children’s Summer Camp. All ages should take advantage of our Town Bus Trips  to a variety of destinations.

I would like to thank Averill & Associates for putting together this outstanding 2012 Recreation Guide. I recommend you keep it handy throughout the year and support the local businesses that placed ads here.

We in Recreation look forward to seeing you throughout the year and hope you take advantage of the many great town programs available to you.

 BILL GREENRecreation Director

CARDIO AND KICK-BOX AEROBICSThis non-contact workout is fun, easy to follow, and may be modified for any pace. It combines “kicks” and “punches” from martial arts with short cardiovascular intervals. These work together to tone abdominals, legs and arms and burn calories.

EFFECTIVE CARDIO AEROBICSFrom warm-up to workout to cool-down to strength and stretch...this workout uses basic athletic moves (NOT DANCE) to condition the heart and tone the body. Because the moves are basic, the effort exerted is your choice.

Instructor: Brenda Green, certified with 25 years of experience teaching fitness
