UIL Lone Star Cup trophy and a $1,000 scholarship
The UIL Lone Star Cup honors the best overall athletic and academic programs in Texas.

Champions The UIL Lone Star Cup
is awarded annually to five high schools,
One in each of the five UIL classifications (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A),
Based on their performance in district & state championships,
Includes sports, band, one-act-play and the academic meet.

a. Use athletic periods to enhance athletic ability
THE IDEAL PROGRAM
The ideal program for strength and conditioning is 1:45 to 2 hours each day
The ideal training time would be 8 to 10 hours per week.
THE CURRENT PT PROGRAM
The 50 minute period provides 40 minutes of actual training time
The Pine Tree program presently offers 40 minutes each day
If students train 5 days a
week, training time equals to 3 ½ hours a week.

No training takes place on game days, holidays, TAKS/STAAR testing, sick days
Basketball, baseball, soccer – 3 days at 40 min (2 hours)
Football – 4 days at 40 min (2 hours)
