ships.Westminsterreturnseightplay-ersfromlastyear’steamincludingsixoftheteam’ssevenlettermen.

“Ourexpec-tationsthisyeararetogetbetter,”saidveteranheadcoachScott Ren-ninger.“It’sallaboutyourrecruit-ingandhowyourkidsperform.Iknowourkidshavebeenplayingalot

oftennisoverthesummerandhopefullythey’llbeabletocontinuethroughthefallandintothewinter.It’samatterofhowquicklywecanregenerateourskills.”

JuniorRyan Carr (Cheektowaga, N.Y./Cheektowaga Central),whohadthebestsinglesrecordof10-7lastsea-son,wasthefurthestadvancingTitanatthePACChampionships.Carrwasthe

runner-upatno.5singlesearninghimall-PACsec-ondteamhonorsforthesecondtimeofhiscareer.

“Alexlovestocompete,”saidRen-ninger.“ThisissomethingthathasbeenprobablyinstilledbyherfatherBill Bailey‘86(whoholdsschoolre-cordsinsingleswinsforaseasonandcareersinglesanddoublesvictories).”

Renninger,thePresidents’AthleticConference(PAC)Women’sTen-nisCoachoftheYearforthreestraightyearsfrom2006-08,ledtheTitanwomentorunner-upfinishesatthePACChampionshipsineachofthelastsixseasons,includingthe2011-12teamthatsettheschoolrecordforwinsinaseasonwithaperfect18-0record.

AstheTitanmen’scoach,Renningerledtheteamtoanimprovementinwinsineachofhisfirstthreeseasonsincludingthe2002teamthatwent10-6,awintotalthatwasduplicatedbythe2004teamthatwent10-9.TwoofRenninger’smen’steams(2004,2006)placedsecondinthePAC.

RenningerhasservedontheTitancoachingstaffsincearrivinginNewWilmingtonin1978.HeservedasanassistantcoachfortheTitanfootballteamfromthattimeuntil2004,workingwithboththeoffensivelineandspecialteamswhilealsoservingasadministrativeassistantfortheprogram.

In1999,heservedasinterimco-headfootballcoachwithSeanKellywhenthen-headcoachGeneNicholsontookamedicalleaveofabsence.RenningeralsoservedasheadbaseballcoachatWestminsterfor21seasonsfrom1979-99,compilingacareerrecordof253-284-3(.471).
