Why give to the Owens Express Athletic Fund?
The mission of the Owens Express athletic program is to promote student success. We are proud to have established “A Winning Tradition” both on and off the playing field.
Across our eight men’s and women’s athletic teams, we have set a standard for athletic and academic excellence which, over the course of nearly five decades, has resulted in 69 Academic All-Americans, 38 Athletic All-Americans, numerous conference championships and two national championships.
Excellence, however, comes at a price. Despite significant public support from the College, the Owens Express athletic program needs regular, private support to ensure that our student-athletes continue to compete at the highest level as well as enjoy an educational environment that fosters achievement.
Your support is needed to:• Fund athletic scholarships for those student-athletes
who do not receive a College scholarship.• Raise funds for students to take advantage of
preseason conditioning and training opportunities as well as to represent the College at regional and national tournaments. Currently, students must raise their own funds to help defray these expenses.
• Pay for expenses not fully covered by the College, such as replacement of equipment and maintenance of playing fields.
Please consider supporting the Owens Express Athletic Fund today. Your contribution will help build upon our winning tradition. We pledge to be faithful stewards of your money.
Sincerely,
Rudy YovichRudy YovichDirector of Athletics
