Scott Peluso was hired as the LeTourneau volleyball coach in March and will make his debut on the sidelines in time for the 2011 season.

Peluso spent the 2010 season as an as-sistant coach at the University of Denver. Before helping the Pioneers reach the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, Peluso spent two seasons at Colorado Christian University as the top assistant and ended his tenure as the interim head coach. At CCU, he was the recruiting coordinator and was responsible for the Cougars setters, offensive system, fitness program, team travel, camps, com-munity outreach, scheduling and academic standards.

He also spent three seasons as the assistant coach at Colorado School of Mines where he was responsible for re-cruiting several All-Conference players and helping lead the Orediggers to the best record in school history and their

Scott Peluso, Head Volleyball Coachfirst-ever NCAA tournament appearance.

Before hitting the college ranks, Peluso was also a successful high school and club coach in Colorado. He led Chatfield Senior High School, his alma mater, to its first league championship in 14 seasons and was named Jefferson County Coach of the Year. In the club ranks, he lead two 18-and under teams to top ten regional finishes in the tough Rocky Mountain Region of USA Volleyball.

Peluso played for the Colorado State University men’s club team and finished his career at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

Peluso is a native of Denver, Colorado. He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene Uni-

versity with a B.A. in Biology and has a Master’s degree in Sports Psychology from Capella University.

He lives in Longview his wife Joanna and his daughter Sarah.

Michele Rosen returns for her second season as assistant volley-ball coach at LeTourneau University after taking over as the interim head coach in 2010.

Rosen was named LeTourneau’s interim head coach in time for the start of the YellowJackets’ confer-ence schedule. Less than a year removed from playing her senior season Bluffton University in Ohio, Rosen guided the team to a fourth-place finish in the ASC East with a 7-10 league record -- the Jackets’ best finish in their ASC history.

In her four years at Bluffton, Rosen helped build the program from her freshman year. The Beavers went 9-21 and 11-20 during her first two seasons.

But the big turnaround came in Rosen’s third season where the Beavers went 21-10 and placed fourth in the conference. As a senior, the progression was complete as Bluffton went 27-6 and won the conference regular season title and the conference tournament to get an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Tournament – the first for the school in last 15 years.

The Harrison, Ohio native played Junior Olympic Vol-leyball for five years for Kaepa Borderline Juniors bases out of Oxford, Ohio. In her final two seasons, Rosen played in 144 sets. She tallied 179 kills, 72 digs and 42 total blocks.
