Children Drawing Contest Regulations“UEFA EURO 2012™ in my country - Creating History Together”

I. Friends of UEFA EURO 2012 – Short Summary Poland and Ukraine are about to write a new chapter in the history of the UEFA European Football Championship and to generate excitement amongst the population of the host countries; the local organising committees will launch a promotional campaign called “Friends of UEFA EURO 2012”. The campaign will kick off at the start of the qualifying phase of UEFA EURO 2012, in September 2010, and will last for several months.

Up to 100 people per Host Country will have the privilege of being officially nominated “Friends of UEFA EURO 2012”. Half of them will be chosen by the local organising committees among public figures and celebrities while the remaining 50 people will be selected among the general public through various competitions.

The first of the series of planned events is a drawing contest entitled “UEFA EURO 2012™ in my country - Creating History Together” (“Contest”). The Contest is addressed to children of the two Host Countries who are invited to participate in several age categories. The subject will relate to the organisation of UEFA EURO 2012 in their home country and how they feel about it. This contest will give the children the possibility to express what UEFA EURO 2012 in their country means to them, as well as to reflect on the meaning of the official slogan: “Creating History Together”.

The Contest winners will be officially given the title “Friend of UEFA EURO 2012” and receive a variety of UEFA EURO 2012 branded material, ranging from caps and polo shirts to rare collector items such as specially created “Friend of UEFA EURO 2012” material produced in limited and numbered editions.

II. CHILDREN’S DRAWING CONTEST a. Organiser

The Local Organising Committee EURO 2012 Polska Sp. z o.o. (“Organiser”) together with UEFA and Polish Football Federation has the pleasure of inviting Polish children of up to 16 years of age to participate in the Contest in accordance with these Regulations.

b. Purpose of the Contest

Children have always expressed thoughts in drawings, using their creativity, their originality and their joy at discovering the world around them. For the first time, the third biggest sports event in the world – UEFA EURO 2012™ – is taking place “at home” and we believe that this event will change our life and life of our children. We would like to give all our children the possibility to express themselves and their feelings about this outstanding event and to become a part of the exclusive “Friends of UEFA EURO 2012” group.

c. General rules

Children may participate in the Contest in the following categories:

Age: 1st category: 5 to 7 years old

2nd category: 8 to 10 years old

3rd category: 11 to13 years old

4th category: 14 to 16 years old

d. Technical requirements

Working technique: must be done by hand

Materials used: free (pencil / watercolours / crayons etc)

Size: A4, A3, A2

e. Formal requirements

Participants who wish to enter the Contest may submit only one (1), personally created drawing (“Drawing”). Only individual entries are permitted – no group entries or school entries will be considered.

The Contest starts on the day of the publication of these Regulations, being 15 September 2010, and the deadline for submissions is 15 October 2010. Submission received after the deadline will be rejected.

All participants are required to fill out the application form provided as Attachment 1 to these Regulations (“Application Form”). The Application Form shall be signed by the duly authorized supervisor(s) of the participant (i.e. parents or legal guardians), which shall constitute the consent for participation in the Contest as well as acceptance of the terms and conditions set out herein.

The Drawing may be presented at various exhibitions in Ukraine and Poland in relation with the UEFA EURO 2012 and will be published on the official website of UEFA EURO 2012 and in several dedicated UEFA EURO 2012 publications.

Additionally, each Drawing shall be marked on the reverse side as follows:

• Family name and first name of the child.

• Date of birth of the child.

• Detailed address (including house or apartment number, street, postal code and city, country).

• Family name(s) and first name(s) of the duly authorized supervisor(s) with telephone numbers.

• Email address (optional).

Drawings which do not contain all the necessary information mentioned above and/or Drawings which are not accompanied by a duly signed Application Form will not be considered.

Friends of UEFA EURO 2012 Drawing Contest.

f. Jury, Selection of winners

The selection of the winners of the Contest will take place on or around 20 October 2010.

The Jury, comprising of five (5) members, will be selected from amongst the employees of the EURO 2012 Polska Sp. z o.o. and famous public figures from the world of arts. The verdict of the Jury will be final and undisputable.

Winners will be notified by mail, email or phone in accordance with the contact information provided on the reverse of the submitted Drawing. Public announcement of the winners of the Contest will take place on or around 25 October 2010 and the results will be posted on www.uefa.com.

g. Prizes

Authors of the five (5) best Drawings from each age category (twenty (20) winners in total) will be awarded:

• the exclusive status “Friend of UEFA EURO 2012”,

• special Friend of UEFA EURO 2012 Diplomas, and

• unique “Friends of UEFA EURO 2012” gift-package including various UEFA EURO 2012 branded items.

Winners of each age category accompanied by one (1) adult (four (4) winners and four (4) accompanying adults in total) will receive a special award – trip* with invitation to a special event in relation to the preparation of the UEFA EURO 2012.

*Trip package includes roundtrip transportation and accommodation (economy class) as determined by the Organiser. Winner must travel on dates determined by Organiser in its sole discretion or the prize will be forfeited. All expenses and incidental travel costs, including but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, and any personal expenses, are the responsibility solely of winner. Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining valid passports and any other documents necessary for international travel. Travel restrictions, conditions and limitations may apply. Organiser will not replace any lost, damaged, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. Organiser is not responsible if any activity is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason, in which event that portion of prize is forfeited in its entirety and no substitution or compensation in lieu thereof will be provided except as in Organiser's sole discretion.

All Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution or compensation in lieu thereof will be made unless the Organiser, in its sole discretion, determines otherwise.

Winners shall be responsible for payment of any taxes (if applicable) on Prizes and the Organiser declines any responsibility in this regard.

h. Legal requirements

1. Participation in the Contest is free of charge and voluntary.

2. Each participant expressly acknowledges and agrees that:

(a) the Drawing submitted for the Contest shall be created personally by each participant;

(b) any and all rights for all purposes throughout the world relating to UEFA EURO 2012 as well as any rights to exploit UEFA EURO 2012 (including any audio, visual, audio-visual and/or electronic recordings of UEFA EURO 2012) belong exclusively to UEFA;

(c) no rights are granted to the participant in relation to UEFA EURO 2012 and/or UEFA;

(d) the participant shall not grant to any third party any right in connection with his/her Drawing submitted for the Contest;

(e) no reimbursement of any costs in relation to the creation of the Drawing and submitting it for the Contest in accordance with these Contest Regulations will be made by UEFA and/or EURO 2012 Polska Sp. z o.o..

3. In their Drawings, participants shall not infringe any rights of any third parties, including in particular any and all intellectual property rights and/or copyrights.

4. Each participant agrees not to license, publish nor make available their Drawing submitted for the Contest to any third parties in whatever form.

5. Each participant agrees to transfer, at no additional cost to EURO 2012 Polska Sp. z o.o. or UEFA, ownership and all his/her rights to the Drawing submitted for the Contest exclusively to UEFA, without any territorial or time limitations, in all forms of exploitation, such as: copying; printing; distributing; publishing; modifying; altering; selling; recording; transferring; storing in any form of storage; using in public presentations and/or exhibitions; displaying; and licensing, - all of the above by whatever means and in any form and format.

6. Each participant agrees to execute such further agreements, documents, assurances and acts as may be required to give full legal and practical effect to the terms, intent and purposes of Clause 5 above, including in case his/her Drawing is to be used by in any additional form of exploitation not mentioned above.

7. UEFA shall become solely entitled to dispose of any and all rights related to the Drawing of each participant and the participant agrees not to claim otherwise.

8. Each participant agrees to indemnify UEFA and/or EURO 2012 Polska Sp. z o.o. from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses resulting from or in connection with any breach by such participant of the terms of this Contest Regulations.

- the Drawing submitted for the Contest is a result of the participant’s own work and does not infringe third party’s rights, and copyrights to such Drawing are not limited or restricted in any way;

- the participant’s name and image may be released to the public by any means in relation to the participation in the Contest;

- ownership and all copyrights related to the Drawing submitted for the Contest are transferred to UEFA free of charge and without any time or territorial limitation in accordance with the Contest Regulations, and I/we agree to execute such further agreements, documents, assurances and acts as may be necessary for this purpose;

- personal data provided in this Application Form will be processed by the Organiser and or UEFA or any entity as indicated by UEFA in relation with the Contest. I am/We are aware that providing of personal data is voluntary and that I was/we were informed of the right to review it and amend it at any time;

- the Organiser may retain the original of the Drawing submitted for the Contest.
