What is Year End Processing?
Activities Close Fiscal Year will:Activities Close Fiscal Year will:– Automatically post opening balances for all asset
and liability accounts based on year end amounts– Automatically consolidate all revenue and
expense entries into the appropriate Net Asset accounts and post opening balancesaccounts, and post opening balances
– Does not remove entries from the closed year; you can still report in detail on any closed year
– You can post entries to the closed year, but system will warn you and you must use appropriate controls

• Why is this a problem?– MIP uses query language that assigns special meanings– MIP uses query language that assigns special meanings
to these characters. Therefore when it comes upon these characters in the ID field, the system gets confused.
