Objectives

Apply a sensor network to monitor the force, strain, or stress on a wing of an object on a real time basis

Determine which network set up would be best suited for this application

Design experiment to test networkRun experiment and analyze the results to determine

usefulness of the network for a real world application

Procedure

Determine which sensors and sensor add-ons of a Telosb mote can be used to find the stress, strain and force on the wing

Determine which type of network setup would be best suited for our application

Program the sensor to transmit data at pre-specified intervals

Design experiments to test the accuracy and usefulness of the sensor network

Run experiment and analyze the results

Telosb

Telosb has a small wireless transmitter and receiver It have four default sensors, measuring visible light, a

large spectrum of light, temperature, and humidity Expansion ports allow for numerous other sensors to be

attached, including stress and strain sensors that we plan to use for this project

A small operating system called TinyOS is used to run and compile programs for the Telosb devices
