MISSION

The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is dedicated to enhancing health services for children by raising money to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital and programs that promote health, prevent disease and treat illness.

Funding provided by the Foundation supports health services for children through education, research, special services and acquisition of equipment.

THE NEED IS VITAL

Gas prices are soaring. Housing prices are at an all time high. Construction costs have skyrocketed.

So many things in our world have changed over the last year. The economy is shifting and we are taking a look at where and how we spend our hard earned money.

Yet one thing has remained constant throughout all of this change – the need for highly specialized pediatric care. Care that comes with its own high price tag.

The reality is children can get ill or injured at any time. And we want to ensure the very best care is available to them at that moment.

The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a leader in pediatric care, because of ongoing funding from generous donors like you. There are 155,000 patient visits to the Stollery Children’s Hospital each year; children birth to 17 years of age come to the hospital from all over Central and Northern Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and other parts of Canada. And you are there to help them every step of the way.

Your support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation ensures the very best equipment, specialists, research and programs are available for sick and injured children. Over the last year, through your generous donations, the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation funded:

THE NEED EXTENDS BEYOND eDMONTON

Each year, 155,000 patient visits occur at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. More than 40 per cent of children treated at the Stollery are from outside the Edmonton area, including from communities as far away as Nunavut,

Yukon, Northwest Territories, and other parts of Canada.

The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a proud member of Children’s Miracle Network, a

non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of kids by raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals - 14 of which are in Canada.

Our Children’s Miracle Network affiliation brings with it many special partnerships with national sponsors, who make a big difference in the lives

The Stollery Children’s Hospital is a leading-edge pediatric hospital thanks to the financial generosity

of donors, and incredible gifts of time and energy from dedicated volunteers.

This year, more than 850 Miracle Workers donated over 5,000 hours to help raise funds for priority needs at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

It takes the hearts and hands of many to bring our fundraising events to life; to turn those dreams into reality. Our Miracle Workers make this possible – be it through painting decorations or registering guests at Snowflake Gala, answering phones at Radiothon, or working around the Foundation office.
