JSC “RailTransAuto” is the major vehicle rail carrier in Russian Federation.

The fleet of wagons of the company: As on April of 2008 - 2300 specialized double-deck wagons. By the end of year 2008 the car fleet will number 3000 wagons. By the end of year 2010 – 5100 wagons.

Zarubino Compound

The Compound is located at the territory of Sea Port in Troitsa Bay,

southern part of Primorsky Krai, 238 km from Vladivostok.

Total area upon commissioning 1st stage: 3.5 hectares – 1750 а/м;

Total area upon commissioning 2nd stage: 7 hectares – 3500 а/м

- Railway tracks zone: 40 wagons.

The prospectives of enlargement: 2 hectares - on the territory of the containers storage area and timber storage - 1000 vehicles1 hectare - 2 sections of refrigirators - 500 vehicles7-storied parking lot (10,5) hectares - 5000 vehicles As a result: total capacity - 10 000 vehicles 4 railways tracks will be use to handle this amount of vehicles (2 berthing track lines, 2 interport track lines)Renovation of 11 km of railway tracks between railway station Sukhanovka and terminal “Zarubino”

TAU-Terminal nearby Almaty (Kazakhstan)

Our strategic partner in Kazakhstan – “TAU-terminal” in Almaty (7 ha in November of 2008). We are planning to construct terminal with “TAU-Terminal” (51% - RailTransAuto, 49% - TAU-Terminal). Terminal is to be constructed on the Baiserke railway station (7 km from Almaty)

The terminal is located within the city boundaries. Area upon commissioning 1st stage: 4 hectares.Area upon commissioning 2nd stage: 15 hectares.

Novosibirsk Compound

Compound zones (for the 1st stage):- zone for Temporary Storage Warehouse (TSW), capacity 250 vehicles;- warehousing area for 2500 vehicles; - railway tracks zone: 24 cars (240 vehicles);- shipping zone, capacity 196 vehicles (simultaneous departure of 28 car-carrying-trucks).

Mikhnevo Compound (Moscow region)

Compound is located in 50 km to the South of the Moscow Ring Road. The first stage of compound – 10,78 hectares (was ready in October 2007). Total area of the compound – 17 hectares (2009).

Warehousing at a time at the first stage of 5300 vehicles at a time, at the 2-nd stage of 8500 vehicles at a time, car wash, PDI.

After May 2008 – Zone of Temporary Storage Warehouse (TSW). Railway zone 39 wagons – 390 vehicles. Simultaneous shipment of 25 trucks - 175 vehicles.

Yekaterinburg Compound

The compound is located 9 km away from Yekaterinburg city. Total territory is 12.5 hectares, including first stage territory 4 hectares.Warehousing of 1750 vehicles at a time at the first stage of 4 ha,6250 vehicles at a time at the second stage of 12.5 ha.Planned operation starting is December, 2008 for the first stage, 2009 for the second stage.There are own railways (2 tracks) with total capacity 32 car-carrying-wagons.

Chernyakhovsk compound

1st stage zone of the terminal:Zone for Temporary Storage Warehousing (TSW); warehousing area – 1750 vehiclesrailway tracks zone – 3 tracks 900 m length each.The transshipment of containers is also provided.

Terminal is located 90 km away from Kaliningrad, at the territory adjoining the Novy Chernyakhovsk railway station.Total area upon commissioning 1st stage: 3 hectares. Total area upon commissioning 2nd stage: 15 hectares.

Planning Rolling Stock of RailTransAuto

RTA plans to purchase 820 double-deck car-carrying wagons in 2008 in addition to our own existing rolling stock fleet.

We are purchasing the new fully closed model 11-1291 manufactured by Ruzkhimmash, VKM, and the newly developed articulated wagons produced by JSC "Transmash" (under the author control of German Company Fahrzeugtechtik Dessau AG).

Model 11-1291 wagon advantages Fully covered bodyAt the time of transportation entirely covered wagon body provides full safety of the vehicles (including polished vehicles).Enlarged carrying capacityWagon carrying capacity is 25 ton, that exceeds carrying capacity of model 11-287 or model 11-835 wagon by 9 ton, and allows transportation of almost all vehicles brands, either light vehicles or commercial ones as well. Extended wagon lengthInternal part of wagon is enlarged by 2400 mm in comparison with model 11-287 and model 11-835, that expands the loading space considerably. Expanded lower deck heightDue to the changes in wagon construction lower deck height is expanded (2010 mm by contrast to 1820 mm in model 11-287 and model 11-835 wagons), that allows to load the lower deck with the vehicles up to 1940 mm high. Removable upper deck Upper deck can be removed. Clear height of wagon in this case is 3900 mm. It allows transportation of commercial vehicles over than 1940 mm high.

Fastening of vehicles in wagonFastening of vehicles against displacement in lengthwise and transverse directions is carried out using wheel stopper.Originally designed construction of stoppers allows to secure low-clearance vehicles (height of stopper in operating condition is 12 cm).
