What is Motogp?

• In the history of World motorsports, the highest level of motorcycle racing has always been the MOTOGP (formerly F.I.M. Motorcycle World Grand Prix).

• Similar to the World’s highest level of 4 wheel motorsports, Formula One, Motogp brings the World’s top motorcycle manufacturers, designers, engineers and motorcycle racers together, where they jointly develop the World’s most technologically advanced motorcycles to race in Motogp events all over the world.

• World Motogp has a history of 54 years, and has always been one of the most fiercely supported Motorsport events, and has one of the largest fan bases in the World.

• In recent years, with many newly developing countries enjoying a healthy growth in their 4 & 2 wheel manufacturing industries, it has cultivated a fast growing numbers of motorsports fans, therefore many international standard motor racing circuits have been built in the Greater Asia region. This has provided an excellent opportunity for major international companies to use motorsports as an advertising vehicle.

Motogp in China

Motogp was first introduced to China in 2005, and the event has been held successfully at the Shanghai International Circuit. In 2006 and 2007, Motogp drew in an increased number of spectators and fans. 2008, being the last year Shanghai will host the Motogp, is expected to be the largest and most successful year ever. Many feel that this IS the last chance to see such a great event in China.

• For many years, BG-Performance Group has been rated as the biggest and most popular motor sport company in the Greater China region. At the inaugural Shanghai Motogp in 2005, and again in 2006 and 2007, BG was appointed by the Shanghai International Circuit (SIC) to be their co-organizer and promoter for the Motogp concessions and supporting events. One of our long term sponsor, world famous motorcycle safety equipment maker Arlen Ness/Berik, has seen a spectacular increase in their market share in Greater China due to the Promotional effort or BG Performance in the Motogp events.

Motogp in China

In 2006 and 2007, BG was made responsible for running SIC’s China Riders’ Motogp Carnival and Stunt Show at the Waterview square in front of the main grandstand entrance. The Carnival and Bike Show was such a success that BG’s Pro Stunt Shows, Race Bike Exhibition and Riders’ Corners attracted thousands of big bikes, and well over 20,000 spectators over the race weekend.

ALL GOOD THINGSS COME TO AN END!!!Motogp operator Dorna and Shanghai Circuit has come to an agreement that the 2008 Motogp will be the last year of this great event to be held in China. Although everyone of us as motorcycle sport lovers were saddened by the news, this has actually made a lot of bikers and bike lovers more determined to attend this year’s Motogp event in Shanghai.

The organizer and promoter believed that the 2008 Shanghai Motogp will bring in a recorded number of spectators and sponsors attending this great occasion, so this Motogp will be a great and last opportunity for sponsor to exhibit their brand or products at this event.

Why Get Involved?• Associating your company’s name with motorcycle racing is a proven way to enhance the

image of your product. The fast-paced, high-tech and exciting nature of motorsports lends itself perfectly to branding in this day in age. Not surprisingly the vast majority of companies sponsoring motorcycle racing worldwide are not only manufacturers of technical products (Tissot Watches, Lee Jeans, Red Bull Energy Drinks, etc…).

• The incredible value of sponsoring motorsport events is in the image the sport represents. According to studies dating from the mid-1980s consumers decision on purchasing choices is 89% emotional. That is to say, if a product is in any way associated with a positive emotional response (created by clever advertising and marketing) it will always be more popular than a similar quality product lacking the extra emotional booster.

Why Get Involved?

• Motorcycle racing is a “natural sport” where no extraordinary skills are needed in order to perform in competitions. Star racers use the same skills as someone riding on the road, but of course their skills are more refined. Basically, this means that for an average person, it is very easy to imagine themselves racing with a bit of wishful thinking and self flattery. (As opposed to, for example gymnastics, where the skills exhibited are clearly specialized ones)

• “Natural sports” are a lot more appealing to fans and consequently have a significantly larger loyal fan base world wide. Even world famous companies such as BMW have been long sponsors of Motogp events because of the exposure and brand image reinforcement they receive through being involved.

BG’s Events at the Shanghai Motogp1. Motogp Support Race

Superbike racers from the Greater China region will race in front of the local crowds as an additional race to the regular 125cc ,250cc and Motogp races.

2. China Riders’ Carnival and GatheringA carnival hosted for the largest gathering of motorsports enthusiasts in China.

3. BG’s Pro Stunt Show

Motorcycle stunts performed by Top US Stunt Drivers in front of thousands of fans.

4. Freestyle Jumping Competition and ShowFor the first time ever in China, incredible motorcycle jumps performed by US Freestyle Experts with bikes flying high in the sky to amaze the crowd.

5. 2 Wheels Performance Product Exposition and Display AreaForeign and local motorcycle and motorcycle parts manufacturers will display their latest products for the tens of thousands of spectators who will come to see the race.

6. Rock Concert and Band CompetitionBands from different regions of China will come to compete and perform for the crowd in a Competition, Concert and Music Festival.

• Shanghai International Circuit has allotted a larger space for BG’s events for 2008.

• The Waterview square is strategically located in the path of where spectator will pass on the way to the circuit grandstands.

• BG will also have a secured motorcycle parking area for all spectators arriving on motorcycles to the race to assure they arrive right in the middle of the action.

Shanghai Motogp Support Race

Riders from the Greater China region will come to race in front of the local Motogp fans in an exciting Superbike race. We will have many local Chinese riders, but also many foreigners who live or work in China who will take part in the race. Because these are local racers, many of the spectators will have an added interest to cheer on their favorite local riders.

The race will have its own paddock area. The race compound will be enclosed with fences upon which sponsors can display their banners and logos on. A large numbers of tents will be set up which sponsors can also attach their banners and logos on. Superbikes from all over Greater China region will be attending the race. The exciting event will have qualifying sessions on Friday and Saturday, and the main race on Sunday morning.

During Sunday’s Main race:

• On the starting grid, all personnel with have team uniforms with Sponsors’ Logos.• On the starting grid, big banners of sponsors will be held up by team personnel.• All umbrella girls will have team uniforms with Sponsors Logos.

3-4/May/08 (Sat/Sun) It is estimated that there will be 40-50,000 spectators in the stands watching the China SBK Support race. 

2008 Shanghai Motogp Greater China’s Bikers Carnival

The China Biker’s Carnival is the hub of all of BG’s events at the Motogp event. This is where friends & bikers meet and gather when they arrive at the race, and also their first stop before entering the race track. BG organizes secured motorcycle parking for spectators arriving on motorcycles and will issue parking pass stickers with sponsor’s logos. Superbikes will also be displayed after the support race for fans to see.

BG’s staff will be based at major entry points to the SIC Circuit perimeter with clearly erected sign boards to provide instruction for Bikers to enter to the BG Display Area.

Over the Motogp weekend we will expect many fans and enthusiasts. Estimated Motorcycle attendance : 2000-3000 motorcyclesEstimated visitors to BG Square : 25,000-40,000

BG’s Pro Stunt ShowThe BG Pro Stunt Shows are the most publicized events with all TV/Media/Press reporting and highlighting the show and photos in their reports. BG’s organize Motorcycle Stunt Shows icnludes 3-5 of the World’s top stunt riders. There will be 2-3 Shows per day on Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd and 4th. BG Stunt shows will be performed at the Water View Square in the middle of the carnival area, The GP Village behind the Grandstand and most important at the starting grid front straight in front of all the Motogp spectators.

BG’s stunt team is the ONLY Pro Stunt teams in China who can perform stunts on big capacity 600cc or 1000cc Superbikes and during the Stunt show, ALL Press/Media/TV and Spectators will be focusing on these Stunt bikes and Riders providing a 100% focus on Sponsor Logo on the bikes and riders.

It is estimated that over 20,000-30,000 spectators will come to watch the show, and most Press/media personnel will also be there to report the event.

Shanghai MotogpFreestyle Jumping Competition and Show

For the first time ever in, BG will bring over a professional group of riders who will perform incredible motorcycle Freestyle MX jumps performed by US Freestyle Experts doing acrobats with bikes flying high in the sky to amaze the crowd.

Due to these stunts have never been seen live in China before, it will for sure brings huge coverage in all forms of Press/ media reviews. We also expect most spectator coming to the Motogp will want to miss this event so we should expect over 30,000 people over the Motogp weekend to come and watch.

Riders uniforms, bikes and the large jumping ramp can all be perfect locations to display your company logos. Our riders will also autograph poster for fans which can also include your company logos.

Freestyle Jumping Competition and ShowSponsor Benefits

2 Wheels Performance Product Exposition and Display Area

Foreign and local motorcycle and motorcycle parts manufacturers will display their latest products for the tens of thousands of spectators who will come to see the race.

Since this is the largest gathering of motorsports enthusiast in the Greater China Region, it is a perfect opportunity to display and showcase your products of services to potential buyers. Because of the relatively high cost of attending the Motogp race event, you will be assured you are exposing your products to the middle and upper class potential buyers.

These areas will be perfect for displaying your new products, passing out catalogs or brochures, or even selling your products at the race event. Spaces will be rented per square meter for the weekend and we can arrange a space to fit your budgets and needs.

Shanghai Motogp Rock Concert and Rock Band Competition

BG will host a Rock Band Competition at the Motogp Weekend, BG and our agents will select from each major region in China a Top level Rock Band to come and participate in a competition during the Motogp weekend at the Shanghai Circuit.

Bringing this Vibrant and upbeat event to Motogp will bring a huge group of Young and

action loving spectator to attend the event and will further expand our ticket sales and attracts a new group of audience.
