explanation

Each month of this calendar takes its inspira-

tion from the pairing of one work of a graphic

designer and one work of an artist with similar

color palettes. I chose to keep each hybrid

form simple, and placed each on a gray back-

ground to emphasize the colors and to maintain

continuity throughout the year. The level of

gray changes with the seasons, with the darkest

grays appearing in the summer months, and the

lightest grays appearing in the winter months.
