Randalls, Domaine Ramonet 2006 Offer 2006 Domaine Ramonet Cellar Release ★★★ Clive Coates The famous Domaine Ramonet needs little introductions for those that appreciate white burgundy. Arguably the top ChassagneMontrachet producer, Ramonet’s quality and consistency is unsurpassed. From the excellent entry level village wines through to the excellent premier cru’s, the wines coming from the domaine deliver well above their price points and continue to entice and excite chardonnay lovers across the globe. These wines are nothing short of spectacular, both in quality and value. I have enjoyed these wines since they arrived last week and I am confident you will too. They are drinking beautifully now but will reward some additional age. Cheers, Randall Pollard Les Vins Blanc 2006 ChassagneMontrachet ‘Les Boudriottes’ Shelf Price $ 138 Offer Price $112 A pretty, ripe and reasonably elegant nose combines eversoslightly exotic fruit aromas with more classical herb and citrusinfused aromas that merge into round, rich and relatively fullbodied flavors that remain nicely balanced as there is a good core of firm, and citrusy, acidity on the solidly persistent finish. This is not especially refined but there is good flavor authority and enough overall depth and length to be more than just interesting. 90 Points, BURGHOUND, Oct 2008. 2006 ChassagneMontrachet ‘Morgeot’ Shelf Price $132 Offer Price $105 The barest hint of sulfur is so subtle that it doesn't really detract from the purity of the otherwise ripe and eversoslightly exotic rosemary and dried yellow fruit nose that leads to round, generous and The undisputed master of Chassagne- Montrachet. Among the whites, the commune- level Chassagne puts to shame most premier cru bottlings. The Ramonet whites seem to have an almost resinous character, so intense is the fruit. The white Morgeot is an exercise in sophisticated excess. Who says that you can't have too much of a good thing? Also, elegant, greacful Ruchottes and Caillerets. This producer's Chassagnes are the wines against which the others are judged. MATT KRAMER

2006  Chassagne-‐Montrachet  ‘Les  Ruchottes’  Shelf  Price  $163               Offer  Price  $129  A   deft   touch   of   wood   frames   notably   elegant   and   high-‐toned   white   flower,   green   apple,   acacia  blossom   and   citrus   notes,   that   latter   of   which   are   picked   up   by   the   rich,   full   and   solidly   powerful  middle  weight  flavors  that  possess  fine  depth  and  length  but  also  a  bit  of  backend  warmth.  Like  the  Champs  Canet,   this  benefitted  considerably   from  30+  plus  minutes  of  air.  91  Points,  BURGHOUND,  Oct  2008.
