Step 1: Assesment

Here is the rear passenger-side door. This process involves removing the entire rear-door panel. I’m not sure if any of this will void your warranty, so please check with your local dealership first, as I am not responsible for any damage caused by a result of these directions. These are formed from my personal accounts with my own truck.

Step 2: Exposed Screws

Your first 2 screws are fully exposed, and located at the bottom of the door.

These screws are ¼” hex heads

Step 4: Removing Window Trim

This piece of trim running beside the window must be removed to access another screw , and successfully remove the door panel.- The trim is easily removing by inserting a small flat-tip screwdriver (taped up with masking tape) underneath the edge, and prying up with delicate force. (the piece is only held on by 2 metal tab-like objects)

Step 5: Removing Panel Screw

Next remove the newly exposed panel screw (also ¼” hex head)

Step 6: Door Handle Screws

Begin by removing a small black panel that covers 2 screws behind the door handle. Insert a taped, flat-tip screwdriver into the small slot on top, ad pry the piece off. Very little effort is needed.- These 2 screws can be removed using a 5/16” socket

Step 7: Armrest Wiring

Begin this step by using a small taped, flat-head screwdriver to pry off the piece of the armrest with the power window controls.

Next you will need to remove the controls from the armrest piece.

Step 8: Removing the Panel

Now you’re going to want to pull up on the entire door panel, using the armrest as a handle. The Panel is only held on by some plastic tabs on both sides, slotted into grooves. Make sure you don’t pull outward, so you won’t damage the tabs.

Next you’ll have to remove the inside door handle from the panel before it can be taken all the way off. To do this just press on the back of the door handle until it pops out the front of the panel. Once out the front, the handle can be placed through the same hole, and the panel can now be taken all the way off.

Step 9: Removing the Speaker

This is the easy part! He speaker is mounted with 4 x 7/32” hex screws. Simply remove then, and mount your new speaker.
