200 hour RYT Anusara ® Immersions & Teacher Training This 200 Hour program meets the required registration for Yoga Alliance and is in compliance with Anusara Yoga guidelines for an immersion and training. It will be broken down into 4 weekends (Friday-Sunday) for the immersion and 3 for the training. This format is ideal if you are traveling from out of town, or want to become a teacher in 2013. We give you all the tools to become a great teacher and student. You will experience beautiful transformation in your life, become more connected to your deeper self, and learn skills that will enrich your life in every aspect. We break the training into 2 sections: the first section is called The Immersion. The Immersion will take you deeper into your own practice of yoga, allow you to make meaningful connections with others on the path of teaching, provide you the tools and guidance to live your own life more skillfully on and off the mat. The 2nd part is called The Teacher Training and will focus on developing the skills of becoming a yoga teacher through observing and assisting classes, practice teaching, languaging and sequencing and creating classes. FIRST PHASE: THE IMMERSION: October of 2012 through January 2013 Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 8:45 am - 5:45 pm Tentative Dates (subject to change) Immersion 1: Oct 19-21, Nov 9 Immersion 2: Nov. 10-11, Nov 30, Dec. 1 Immersion 3: Dec.2, Jan. 4-6 SYLLABUS: Philosophy Overview of the three main schools, Metaphysics, Cosmology, The Tattvas, The Elements, Ethics, The Gunas, The Sutras, Yamas and Niyamas, The Bhagavad Gita, The Chakras, The Koshas, Doshas and Malas. Variations and modifications of the poses, energy and energetic flow in the body, therapeutics, standing, backbends, sitting poses, twists, hand balances, inversions, and restoratives.
