Además de las aplicaciones señaladas este modelo se emplea para manejo de gases calientes, debido a su robustaconstrucción. En estos casos se surten con rotor de enfriamiento. Para extracción de desperdicios metálicos conesmeriles, pulidoras, etc., intalaciones en extracción de aserrín y astillas en Madererías y Aserraderos.

COMO USAR LAS TABLAS

Para un volumen y presión conocido, las tablas de capacidad se utilizan para conocer tamaños, RPM de rotor, y BHP. Si la capacidades a condiciones distintas a 70° F y nivel del mar o densidad estándar (0.0750 lb/pie3), los factores de corrección deben aplicarse apresión estática y BHP.

Si se requieren correcciones por temperatura altitud odensidad, determine los factores de corrección utilizandolas tablas de factores de corrección.

Multiplique las condiciones operativas PE por los factoresde corrección. Esto proporciona la PE equivalente a ladensidad de 0.0750 lb/pie3.

Seleccione el ventilador, tamaño, RPM y BHP de las tablasde capacidad

Determine el BHP operativo al dividir BHP de las tablas decapacidad entre el factor de corrección utilizado en elpaso 1.

Factor de corrección para 600° F es 2.00Factor de corrección para 5000 pies es 1.20Factor final=2.00 x 1.20 = 2.4

La PE requerida por el ventilador con aire estándar es: 6” x2.4= 14.5 C.A.

Un ventilador modelo 20-VDH tamaño 33 es seleccionadopara 9000 CFM a 14.5 in C.A., 1549 RPM, 25.69 BHP (con aireestándar) densidad de 0.0750 lb/pie3

BHP operativo es 25.69/ 2.4= 10.70 BHP

Un sistema que requiere 9000 CFM contra una presión de 6C.A. Que va a operar a 600° F y 5000 pies de altitud.

EJEMPLO

5 Selección Final. Un ventilador modelo 20-VDH-33 es seleccionado para 9000CFM a 14.5 in C.A. 1549 RPM, 10.70 BHP.
