THE MALLOW STORY

THE MALLOW IS LOCATED AT 18–20 SKIPTON STREET, BALLARAT, JUST SOUTH OF THE CENTRE OF TOWN WHERE ARMSTRONG STREET CURVES INTO SKIPTON. WE’RE A COSY AND FRIENDLY LOCAL PUB, SERVING UP REGIONAL VICTORIA’S BIGGEST SELECTION OF

CRAFT BEER ON TAP, AND OUR WINE LIST IS PACKED FULL OF TASTY LOCAL DROPS.

OUR KITCHEN IS OPEN FIVE NIGHTS A WEEK (CLOSED MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS), AND WE DO LUNCHES FROM FRIDAY TO SUNDAY. OUR MENU CONSISTS OF ALL THE PUB CLASSICS,

PLUS MORE ‘GASTROPUB’ STYLE DISHES.

FEATURING FOUR FUNCTION SPACES, THE MALLOW CAN CATER FOR A RELAXED OR FORMAL EVENT. WE OFFER A HIGH QUAILITY, UNIQUE EXPERIENCE THAT IS ENTIRELY CATERED FOR YOUR NEEDS TO ENSURE YOUR SPECIAL EVENT WILL BE FILLED WITH

OUR SPACES

The Front Room – this is the small room to the right when entering the pub. This space can hold a maximum of 24 guests for a seated meal, and 30 for a grazing function. A minimum of 14 guests are required to be guaranteed of this room being private. A room/venue hire fee may apply when

minimum spends/or guests are not reached.

The Upstairs Room - Holds a maximum of 40 guests for a seated meal, and 60 for a grazing function. A minimum of 20 guests are required to use this room. There are toilets available up-

stairs. A room/venue hire fee may apply when minimum spends are not reached.

The Yard Bar – open during Spring and Summer and available for functions. It is an outside area and will require a minimum of 40 guests and holds a maximum of 60 people. It has an outside bar

and is available for lunches/afternoons Friday to Sunday and dinners Wednesday to Sunday. A hire fee may apply when minimum spends/guests are not reached.

The Dining Room – this is the large room at the back of the pub. This room is only available for a Saturday and Sunday lunch and can cater for a maxium of 30 people. A minimum of 20 guests are

required to use this room. A hire fee may apply when minimum spends/guests are not reached.

HOW IT ALL WORKS

TIME OF MEAL – DUE TO THE NATURE AND CAPABILITIES OF OUR VERY SMALL KITCHEN, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO OFFER TWO OPTIONS FOR THE TIME YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE

SEATED FOR MAIN COURSE FOR DINNER. PLEASE ADVISE IF YOU WOULD LIKE A 7:00PM MAIN MEAL OR AN 8:30 PM MAIN MEAL. LUNCHES WILL BE AT 1:00PM

DEPOSIT - A DEPOSIT OF $200 IS REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR BOOKING. THIS DEPOSIT WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE BILL ON THE NIGHT OF YOUR FUNCTION. HOWEVER, IF

MINIMUM SPENDS OR GUESTS ARE NOT MET YOU MAY FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT.

ORDERING AND PAYMENT - WE REQUIRE FINAL NUMBER AND MENU SELECTIONS TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR EVENT. THE MALLOW WILL PROVIDE WAITER SERVICE FOR FOOD

AND DRINKS FOR ALL FUNCTIONS THAT ARE BEING PAID FOR AS A GROUP.

IF GUESTS WISH TO PAY SEPARATELY, DRINKS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE BY INDIVIDUALS AT THE MAIN BAR.

HOWEVER, WE ARE UNABLE TO SPLIT THE FOOD BILL.

BILLS ARE TO BE SETTLED AT THE CONCLUSION OF YOUR FUNCTION BY CASH, EFTPOS, OR CREDIT CARD (NO CHEQUES).

CANCELLATIONS - FUNCTION BOOKINGS THAT ARE CANCELLED WITH LESS THAN TWO WEEKS NOTICE WILL FORFEIT THEIR DEPOSIT.

DECORATIONS - PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR OWN PERSONAL TOUCH TO THE ROOM, HOWEVER WE ASK THAT YOU REFRAIN FROM USING GLITTER, SEQUINS, CONFETTI, OR ANY

SIMILAR ITEMS AS THEY ARE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CLEAN. PLEASE ALSO REFRAINFROM STICKING ITEMS TO THE WALL. BLU TAC IS FINE. DECORATIONS ARE TO BE

MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT - WE ARE ABLE TO PLAY MUSIC FROM YOUR IPOD IN THE UPSTAIRS ROOM AND THE DINING ROOM ONLY. THE YARD BAR CAN HOST LIVE MUSIC

THROUGH YOUR OWN DOING. WE DO NOT PROVIDE SPEAKERS OR MUSIC GEAR. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE ARE A DINING VENUE AND IF THE MUSIC IS DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE
