    CBM for the essential equipment.

MCM apply in general to all class master list items, where

    obtainable.

SCM apply to diesel electric primary propulsion and to

secondary drive of geared booster engines.

Condition Monitoring also on essential equipment for the

reliability of vessel operation including what we call fault

    trace systematic.

Bui ld ing speci ficat ion requi rements, cond i t ion moni tor ing:

Designed and equipped for Dual officer operation, in

    principal engine room unattended 24/7.

    Do we succeed today ?

    Why is it so;

Are we able to convince other than our self,- and do Class really

support, that Condition Monitoring and adoption of Condition

Based Maintenance is the best solution today ?

And what about the user, does he or she not need to be a expert on

    each CBM tool ?

CM,CBM and beyondLess crew, more technical advanced vessels.

    Environmental issues:

-ECA 2015 0,1% sulphur gap, scrubbers, LNG

    - Tier 3 and beyond, Co2

We have to realise that the monitoring of the process of moving a

vessel from A to B will be ever more intense.

Why dont we simply ask for IPC (integrated process control)systems, letting the class required alarm system die as we know,

leaving Condition Monitoring to be in the driver seat ?
