• Micki Massry: actively involved in the Capital Regioncommunity, working with several organizations includingthe Capital Region Friendship Circle, the Jewish National Fund of the Capital District, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and others; proud mother of three and grandmother of two.

• Together, Norman and Micki have received severalawards including the Albany Jewish Community CenterPillars Award, the Humanitarian Award from theCrohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation Catherine McAuley Award.

• Dean of UAlbany’s School of Social Welfare since 2000; leader in child welfare, social welfare, social work education, and aging and workforce development.

• Published widely on university-child welfare partner-ships and has coauthored or coedited 12 books and numerous professional articles and publications.

• Served as president of the National Association ofDeans and Directors of Social Work, and has receivedseveral awards including the Woman of ExcellenceAward from the Chamber of Commerce and the Distinguished Service Award from the United Way.

• Influential in improving university-community relation-ships, establishing innovative social service collabora-tions, and developing international partnerships.
