2 2 Hydraulic connections

Connections have to be executed according to local regulations .• Assembly of the hydraulic kit - For a 2 circuit layout: Assemble the T on the flow tube - Respect the assembly direction of the valve:

1: flow heat pump.2: flow mixing circuit CC1.3: return mixing circuit CC1 .

A - Set the 3-way valve on 5 B - Assemble the motor on the valve . Refer to the manual supplied with the motor .

" When the motor rotates anti-clockwise the 3-way valve is opened ( i e increase temperature )

- The circulating pump can be fitted directly to 2 using the supplied tubing. Consider the direction of the flow and the orientation . (figure 6) . - For a 2 circuit layout : assemble the non-return valves : on the flow CC2 and on the return CC1 considering the direction of circulation . - For a single underfloor circuit : close the return CC2 with the plug fitted in factory on return CC1 (figure 3) . - assemble the non-return valve on the return CC1 considering the direction of circulation . - Assemble the flow sensor. Position the flow temperature sensor with a halter on the mixing circuit flow tube CC1.

Make sure to have a correct contact between sensor and tube . The contact surface must be clean of paint and rust . The halter must be tightened .

2 3 Extension card assemblyBefore assembly make sure that the power supply is disconnected . - To access the electric parts take off the front cover . - Fit the PCB AVS 55 with the support on the PCB RVS 21 .

2 .4 Electric connections

Electric installation has to be made with respect to local security norms ( i .e . VDE 0100 or similar ) .The electric connections are made only after completion of all other assembly operations .Connect as follows :• 1 - Circulating pump mixing circuit CC1• 2 - 3-way valve• 3 - Flow sensor .• 4 - Shunt on ‘M’• 5 - Connection RVS/AVS. • 6 - Power supply AVS . Connect the cable harness to

the heat pump supply connector .• 7 - Room sensor or room controller ( optional ) .• 8 - Modem .• 9 - If underfloor heating connect the security cut-

out on the connector of the underfloor circulating pump (X110) .

2 4 1 ModemYou can initiate the frost protection function of the heat pump through a modem . - Connect the telephone contact on connector X 152 - Setting : menu ‘configuration’, lines 6420 and 6421. Refer to heat pump manual .

The activated telephone contact changes the heat pump to Frost Protection programm .According to the settings all heat demand from heating circuits and DHW are ignored .The heat pump and /or the room controller must not be set to Frost Protection .

" Attention ! The use of modem contact excludes the installation of a pool kit

2 5 1 Single underfloor circuit - Menu ‘configuration’

- Set then the parameters of the circuit CC1 (refer to the heat pump manual : temperature setting, heating curve) .

2 6 Checking and commissioningFor checking and commissioning , - Refer to the heat pump manual .

2 6 1 Installation with 1 single underfloor heating circuit.to control combustion ( when changing gas or during maintenance ) you can start-up the gas heat generator without the heat pump (see heat pump manual, § Operation of the gas heat generator) .

" Close manually the 3-way valve of the underfloor circuit

The supplied heat during this setting operation must be evacuated through the DHW circuit: draw-off hot DHW to lower the temperature of the DHW tank ( < 35°C) .• The 3-way valve lever must be in low position (position

DHW . Activate the DHW function if required) (figure 11) .For the further operation s refer to the heat pump manual point 3 of § Operation of the gas heat generator

The circulating pump adjusts the pressure depending on the flow volume .

Recommended for a radiator installation (especially all systems with thermostatic valves or with electric valve) .

The circulating pump maintains the pressure whatever the flow volume.

Recommended for an installation with constant pressure drop i .e . underfloor heating .

Blocking of the circulating pump :If the motor is blocked a start-up sequence is triggered .If the motor remains blocked it will be stopped .

" Cut the power supply of the circulating pump during 30 sec to unlock and to allow another start-up sequence
