The following text is for questions 26 to 29.
Anaemia is a medical condition wherein the body does not have enough circulating red blood cells in
the bloodstream. These red blood cells are the ones that carry oxygen to different parts of the body.
When there is not enough of them, a person is said to be anaemic. Various conditions can cause
anaemia in a person. Some may be due to genetics while others have it because of underlying disease.
There are also anaemia cases that are secondary to iron deficiency or to some medications. In terms of
prevalence among the sexes, this particular medical condition is said to be more common in women
when compared to men. The two basic reasons for this fact is that women have menstrual periods and
they are the ones who get pregnant. In these conditions, women become automatic candidates to have
anaemia or not have enough red blood cells circulating in their bodies.
In the
case
of
menstruation,
the
lowering
of
red
blood
cell
levels
in
the
woman’s
body
is
literally
due
to
blood loss. For most women, regular menstruation occurs once a month. During each menstrual cycle,
so much blood is literally flushed out of the body. Along with this blood are plenty of red blood cells
that make their concentrations lower in every menstrual period in women. Most diets of women also
lack the needed nutrients to counter the effects of menstruation on a monthly basis. It is a fact that
iron from food is a great help in terms of helping the body produce healthy levels of red blood cells.
With many women not having enough of this nutrient, it is also expected that more of them will get
anaemia compared to men.
Pregnant women meanwhile are said to have higher requirements of red blood cells because of the
various processes going on in their growing tummies. These important cells are specially needed for the
normal and
smooth
development
of
the
unborn
babies
and
because
of
this,
many
women
are
prone
to
get anaemia while they are pregnant.
Adapted from: http://www.knowswhy.com/why ‐is‐anemia‐more‐common‐in‐women/
26. The text above tells about….
A. the explanation of anaemia
B. the danger of anaemia
C. the reasons why anaemia is more common in women
D. the causes of anaemia
E. how to treat anaemia
27. These conditions can cause anaemia, except….
A. having menstrual
period
B. pregnant women
C. having enough iron in blood
D. having genetic disease of anaemia
E. getting an accident
28. Having menstruation can cause anaemia in women because….
A. they lack oxygen
B. they lose so many blood
C. they are growing tummies
D. they are weak when they are in menstruation period

Whether we live in a single family home, a condo or an apartment, however big or small, a garden can
offer us salvation, a retreat, from the topsy –turvy lifestyle we at times, are forced to lead. Green spaces,
gives us a relief from stress and can also rejuvenate some of the balance that occasionally chaos throws at
us on a daily basis. A garden does not need to be an area of acreage, surrounded with great big, enormous
trees and shrubs, it can be a small court yard, a patio or even a lanai.
Whether it be a water feature, a fountain, a rockery, or just a hanging basket, we all need to create a quiet
haven for ourselves. Include your favorite colors, fragrances when choosing plants and flowers. Don’t
forget the soothing sounds from a water feature or small fountain, or a wind chime. The most important
thing to remember is, to let nature into ones life, and learn to embrace it, you’ll be very surprised of the
outcome.

Title : Ida
Production year: 2013
Country: Rest of the world
Runtime: 80 mins
Directors: Pawel Pawlikowski
Cast: Agata Kulesza, Agata Trzebuchowska, Joanna Kulig
The Polish‐born director Pawel Pawlikowski grabbed our attention at the beginning of the last
decade with two brilliant and intensely English contemporary pictures: Last Resort (2000) and
My Summer Of Love (2004). Now he has returned with an arresting period movie from the heart

of postwar Poland – and from his own heart, too. Every moment of Ida feels intensely personal.
It is a small gem, tender and bleak, funny and sad, superbly photographed in luminous
monochrome: a sort of neo‐new wave movie with something of the classic Polish film school and
something of Truffaut, but also deadpan flecks of Béla Tarr and Aki Kaurismäki.
Ida is a drama that obliquely but candidly addresses the issues of Polish catholicism,
antisemitism, the church and the state. Ida is someone whose nun's habit enforces a reflex
respect from
those
she
meets:
she
is
aware
that
this
is
something
not
to
be
renounced
lightly,
and the idea of renouncing it in favour of Judaism is an ever‐greater wrench. She and the other
noviciates are in one scene shown face down on the ground in the traditional attitude of
humility and self ‐abasement, a face‐down inversion of the crucifixion pose that paradoxically
suggests sensational importance and prestige.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is an awesome movie, Wastes no time getting into the action, but
also builds the story very well at the same time. It will have you questioning everything you think you
know about the Marvel world. As usual, there is a cut scene after the credits eluding to a 3rd Captain
America, which I am TOTALLY excited to see.
Though I grew up watching the original Captain America, which in its own way was fun, Chris Evans
gives a wonderful performance as the pure soldier Captain America. Everything is black and white with
him, what's good and what's evil. There is no grey area with him, which I like.

Besides Superman, Captain America is everything I wish I could be. Strong, loyal, smart, agile, and pure
to a fault. Always intent on doing the good thing, willing to give his life for what is right, not what he
believes is right, or what the popular opinion feels is right, but what is, in the most literal sense of the
word, right.
Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie give great comedy with partner banter. Samuel L. Jackson is the Gritty
Nick Fury, whose intentions are good, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
The heart pounding action will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I definitely
recommend this to anyone who enjoys the Marvel Movie Franchise. Personally I give it 2 thumbs way
up. Well worth seeing in theatres.

As a nation we all enjoy eating out in restaurants cafes and bars, it gives us the opportunity to have
someone else cook for us, serve us and allows us to try something new. However as with everything
there are pros and cons with restaurant dinning which are worth exploring.
With
our
daily
lives
getting
busier
as
the
years
role
on,
convenience
and
time
saving
measures
are
more and more important to us. Having someone cook for you and serve you allows us not to have to
worry about going to the supermarket or spending time preparing meals. Eating out allows us to
continue with our hectic schedules whilst still satisfying our culinary appetites. Besides that, everyone
enjoys the sense of occasion and atmosphere of eating out whether it be a family occasion dinning
out for Sunday lunch or a romantic candle light dinner for 2. Making the effort to dine out is and
always will be one of our favourite pass times and a way to mark an anniversary, birthday, or
celebration.
However, eating in restaurants cost much money than eating at home. It is also more convenience of
eating at home and not spending time traveling or making the effort to visit restaurants. With
celebrity chefs on TVs showing us how to whip up fantastic, cost effective meals in less than 30

The following text is for questions 40 and 41.
Juicing seems to be the latest health craze. First, there was the cabbage soup diet, followed by the
Atkins diet, gluten‐free diets, the South Beach diet, the Paleo diet, and so on. Proponents of juicing
claim it can help with a number of things, from weight loss to cleansing your system. Juicing has really
taken off, but before you spend a fortune on a fancy juicing machine, make sure you're aware of the
potential health risks and benefits.
Juicing is a great way to squeeze fruits and vegetables into your diet if you typically don't like them.
When making juice, you can add fruits and vegetables that are about to spoil. That way, you don't
waste produce (the food we waste the most money on each year).
People think juice is a nutritionally‐equivalent replacement for whole fruits and vegetables, which
isn't true. There are certain nutrients that whole produce will give you that you can't get from the
juice, including fibre. The skin and the pulp of fruits and veggies are where the fibre and most of the
vitamins and minerals are housed, and if you discard these parts, you're throwing out the most
beneficial portions of the produce. Furthermore, juice isn't pasteurized, which could be a food‐safety
hazard. Wash your hands and all produce before preparing juice. Drink juice within one week,
preferably on the same day that you make it. Also, wash the juicer with hot, soapy water after each
use.

Carelessly lying on a couch and watching television with a bowl of munchies and sodas surrounding us is
a scene most of us are familiar with. Busy work schedules don't permit time for the gym, but we manage
time efficiently to make sure we don't miss our favorite comedy show on television. Individuals
religiously watch their favorite comedy shows. Watching a comedy show daily has several benefits. A
reason why most people love watching shows that contain light humor is due to their ability to reduce
levels of stress. Shows that are a laugh riot have proven to change mindsets among individuals that have

work.
If

you
tend
to

stress
and
negativity at home. If you watch a comedy show regularly you will realize you feel light and joyful at the
end of every episode. A comedy show that evokes a hearty laugh relives you of stress and relaxes your
muscles for a short span of time. The release of endorphins is triggered through laughter. These
chemicals improve you state of well being and also momentarily relieve you of physical pain. That is why
it is important for you to enjoy comedy shows.

Carnivorous plants are a specialized group of plants that grow in wet, boggy, acidic soils. These bogs are
typically comprised of peat soils which are low in the mineral salts and other nutrients vital for the plants
survival. One of the most critical plant nutrients is nitrogen which is usually taken up by plants as
nitrates. Nitrogen is a nutrient that is easily leached out of even ordinary soils. For this reason the plants
that live in these soils have evolved into carnivorous plants that capture and digest insects as a means of
obtaining nitrates.
