Let’s Get It On! Hi guys how are we all? Don’t know about you but we
can’t make out this barmy weather! Shirt sleeves and
shorts one minute then back to long johns and winter
woollies, and as if that wasn’t enough we
now have no water!!! Someone needs to stand up
and mention the fact we’re an island! Well enough
rambling, well almost.
As we stepped into March with all the pressure of Christmas
finally put to bed, the boys started the month in Eltham South
London at the N.E.C. club. This is a members club but you can
pay on the door to get in. The club is run by Mr Waller who with
years of business experience makes the job seem effortless. Dave
first met Mr Waller when he performed for him at his wedding
many years ago which was held at Rowhill Grange in Essex
“very posh”. The club was extremely busy with paying
customers who it was clear were looking to have some fun, fun
was what they wanted and fun is what they got! In abundance.
The midnight deadline finish was left in the wake of the lads who
where at this point on adrenalin mode, Ryan doing what he does
dancing, flipping, spinning and singing all at the same time.
Heading obliviously into the early hours of the morning, the
sound engineer curled on a chair trying to get a few winks of
sleep while the party mood continued.

“The Sun”
Lemsford Village
The Sun Inn at Lemsford is a characteristic 17th Century building. Ian better known as Spanky & Laura
the owners of The Sun, have always been in around the music industry in some guise or another whether
it be singing, cabaret or frankly just having a good time. But there is one thing that becomes obvious
when you go in they no their job, this was 2Tone’s second time there, the restaurant was packed with all
the diners commenting on how good the food was, it looked amazing. As the evening went on the pub
got busier and busier until quite frankly it was bursting at the seams. The mix of ages was amazing and
made for a very exciting night; we met up with folks we hadn’t seen for years since we performed at
their weddings and or birthday bashes. The anticipation was growing as the crowded pub were waiting
for 2Tone to begin, and start they did with revellers joining in with the singing and the dancing.
Everything seemed to be working to the max including the much needed air conditioning, with the night
in full swing, and people dancing outside as well as in it was a fantastic night and were all looking
forward to the next one there!“Great job boys”

Chris Martin from Kent.

ever be replicated to be ready and
shoot at someone flying through
the air!
And just to recap for those of you who didn't receive last months news letter and
wanted to see the Ry guy in full somersault mode here it is.

Rat Attack and the Longtails
At Pendley Court Theatre Dave Mason, Ryan Chandler ,Vince Lewis their fabulous swing orchestra the Longtails accompanied by their showgirls
Yes I am fully aware September 15th seems along ways off but truth is following the success of the past Rat Pack events,
we know this is going to sell out very quickly. For the people who haven’t seen the show, it consists of the lads singing
all those classic Rat Pack swing songs made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and of course Sammy Davis Junior,
they also perform some Tony Bennett numbers and more. Backing them is their very own 14 piece swing orchestra
“The Longtails”. These are some of the top musicians in the country who also grace their expertise for the likes of
Shirley Bassey, Michael Buble, and many more. To round off the evening nicely is their fabulous show girls with their
lavish costumes complete with feathers, top hats and lightening fast costume changes, along with the extremely well
choreographed dance routines to the numbers completes the show. Oh did I mention the dinner, or the roulette and black
jack tables, possibly not, well let’s not go on eh!

Berhamsted Golf Club Was not a fairway to go for the lads!
This was a fine affair at Berkhamsted Golf Club for
Mr Alex Dalton who was definitely in celebration
mode! With the tables laid out in fine dining style
around the dance floor, the elegance of the evening
was obvious to all the invited guests. As family and
friends tucked into a veritable feast the dulcet tones of
Ryan and Dave could be heard crooning away to the
fabulous songs of the “Rat pack” then a short break as
they then broke into party mode. A fantastic time was
had by all.
The Village Hotel Maidstone hosted the amazing wedding for Simon Collier Ward.
Simon and his friends are the right good geezers that supply the market boys with their fruit and veg at Covent
Garden! And oh god blimey! Up the apples and pears and after he’d seen his skin and blister! You get the idea
I’m sure, let me tell you these boys no how to party hard. The boys started off with Ratpack during the wedding
breakfast which was very
acceptable to all, then a break and back on in full party mode. The best man and the rest of the geezers now with
shots in their shorts, were starting to get into the mood of music, the more they drank the funnier they were,
absolutely hilarious a great bunch. After the boys had finished they went to the bar “that’s a surprise” and were
bought several drinks by the best man and friends, they were asked to perform at Covent Garden’s own bash
which will be brilliant to do if this was anything to go by. I think the most humorous bit was the best man
revealing, that he and the rest of the boys had for a wedding gift, all bought identical toasters same colour same
make plus a loaf of bread, and wrapped them all and placed them next to the wedding cake ready to be opened!
“Go on then”
“Just Fabulous”

“The Bananaleaf”
The Banana Leaf party night was a huge success a mixture of great food and cheap drinks was a smash hit all round.
The support from 2Tone followers was again much appreciated by the lads, familiar faces bringing their friends was just fantastic just like the night truly astonishing. With the food
but almost finished Dave and Ryan sprung into life blasting out songs from all eras the young crowd mixed easily with others enthused by 2tones ability to create an electric
feeling atmosphere, dancing throughout the evening and the promise to return for the next event. They are going to repeat this every month starting 10th May
so don’t miss out.

Jury’s Inns Client Night
Damien Doyle arranged a client night at his
hotel in Brighton, as with all events hosted
by Jury’s Inns it was seamless, and flowed
all night, with the ease of a finely balanced
delicate wine. The clients being met by
paparazzi style photographers who were
snapping away with earnest ensuring no
one was missed, the arrival drinks served
by extremely polite well mannered staff
before being shown into dinner. A
delightful looking room ousing of class and
elegance with food that was befitting the
look . The boys started performing to a well
appreciating audience through dinner,
producing an immediate round of applause
straight after the first song, the evening
went from strength to strength. then a short
break while guests enjoyed a time spent at
the casino which had been brought in by
Jury’s, I think the pictures tell the perfect
story. Off again and flying the lads took the
entertainment into a different gear, blasting
out hit after hit for a little over 2 hours with
everyone on the dance floor making their
shapes and having what can only be
explained as one of the best nights of their
lives. It was a tremendous night the boys
had a lot of fun there. A lovely crowd of
people and fantastic staff ensured a good
time was going to be had by all.
Looking forward to going there again
that’s for sure.
