    Ridged Ties Headband

Headband is worked lengthwise, so if you want to make it shorter or longer adjustthe number of starting chains. Every 3 chains will equal appr. 1" or 2.5cm

    *Start Pattern*

I use 2 colors, but you can use as many or few as you would like. To make thecolor pattern pictured in this pattern, I refer to Color A and Color B._____________________________________________________________________

    Changing colorsTo Change Colors:

*Because you are going to change colors every otherrow in this pattern, it is essential that youknow how to change colors. Here are my directions:

Work last stitch in row to last step (before you yoh and pull yarn through loops), drop unused

color to wrong side (you will pick up the dropped color yarn in the row after the next); with new

color, yarn over hook and pull through 2 loops on hook._________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ch 56 in Color A(This will be the bottom of the headband before adding picot edging atthe end of the pattern. I like to use a contrasting color for the picot edging.)

Row 1: (Work 1st row sts in middle loop of

starting ch. as shown in pictures)

Row 1 cont.: Color A1 Sc in middle loop of 2nd ch fromhook and in next 14 chs, 1 dc in eachof the next 25 sts, 1 sc in the last 15sts changing color in last pull throughof last st. (55 total sts)
