The Diploma Lengua Española, Cultura y Civilización (DiLe) is an annual program running from September to May structured into two semesters (60 ECTS). The two semesters can also be taken as independent courses of 30 ECTS each (September to December and/or January to May).

DiLe is part of the Study Abroad program at UAM (SAM) which is designed for foreign students whose mother tongue is not Spanish and who wish to improve their Spanish language skills and their knowledge about its culture, for academic, personal, or professional reasons.

Courses at all taught by highly qualified professors at UAM, ranked the best university in Madrid and one of the best universities worldwide (Position 11th in QS university ranking Top 50 under 50).

UAM has a strong international vocation, with agreements with more than 500 international institutions and around 2000 exchange students every year from all over the world. Easy access to the city centre by commuter train makes the university an ideal place for foreign students to experience life in one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

· Official Non-Spanish college/university student(undergraduate or graduate)

· Graduates from a Non-Spanish university

· High School graduates from a Non-Spanish speaking country

· Spanish proficiency level: B1 or above*

* Students who do not reach B1 level may take instead an intensive Spanish language course in the 1st semester and join DiLe in the 2nd semester.

2,400 euros per semester

4,800 euros annual fee

At pre-registration, students must pay 250 euros (for one semester program) or 500 euro fee (for the annual program) (non-refundable).
