I don't know all of the potential individual circumstances, but itappears that most of the real estate appraisal profession tends tofall more on the side that has continued to prosper. For thosewho have managed to maintain a steady income, a boomingstock market and rising residential real estate values haveincreased wealth, widening the divide between those who haveand those who don't. Times like this force one to take stock and reflect upon what istruly important in life. For those who can it is imperative to giveback to your community. The officers, directors, and committee members of the AtlantaArea Chapter are here for the benefit of the appraisal professionand the general public. Appraisers have an important role in oureconomic ecosystem and we are here to serve you. I encourage you to stay involved. If you belong to the Chapter, ifyou are reading this newsletter, are attending meetings, or areengaging in our education, you are helping to strengthen ourprofession. However, while there are benefits to being on-line,on-line education and Zoom meetings do not fill our needs fornetworking and comradery. Hopefully, we will have a return tonormalcy later this year. In the meantime, I look forward toseeing you on Zoom and really look forward to seeing you inperson and actually shaking your hand!

These transformations areexamples of adaptive reuse (AdRu)-a term that has gainedrecognition in recent years. Continue reading HERE.
