What is a park?

What is a park for?

What kind of activities do people do in a park? What is a theme park?

What might people do in a theme park?

A park is a place for people to experience nature in a peaceful environment, where people can walk for pleasure or children can play

A theme park is a park has a focus or message or “theme”– a central idea. Each theme park is based on a specific idea to attract people who are interested in, for example, flowers and other plants, animals, sports, cultural activities, a famous person and so on.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Julia Smith from Britain. I’d like to share my experience with you. As we know, different countries have different greeting customs. Therefore when we meet someone for the first time, how to greet him or her in a respectful way is a big problem. Last week, I met a boy from Columbia. He seemed excited at the sight of me and then he approached me and touched my shoulder and kissed me on the cheek! As I reacted against immediately, I stepped back appearing surprised and put up my hands. It made me have a sense of vagary. I know it is a cultural misunderstanding.

As far as we British concerned, we are more likely to shake hands with people when we meet. As a general rule, British are more conservative.

Thank you for listening to my speech!
