1st Grade Montessori Learning Board In each box you will find an activity that helps your child practice an essential concept. Choose one activity from each area every day. If there are two activities in a box, you can do one or both. As your child completes each activity, please take a picture with your device and post it to Seesaw or send it in an email. Fill out the Nonfiction Notes sheet (attached) Label 8 or more things around your house with nouns and adjectives. (adjectives are describing words) Ex: brown table Refer to the “Associative Property” poster below to complete the “Associative Property: Page 1” addition of three numbers problems. The San Diego Zoo has a website with live cameras. It is designed just for kids and has amazing videos, activities, and games. Enjoy the tour!

Access Code: FWKR-RWYP Do you have any plastic animals or dinosaurs? Try to put it next to a piece of paper in the yard so it casts a shadow. Trace the outline of the shadow and color in. Look at the pattern if the animal has any on it’s fur. Extension: Choose a color scheme and use warm or cool colors. Create zentangles on your animal. Create a background for your animal. Add some interesting details. Have fun being creative!

Create a family portrait! Every family is unique! You can decide who will be part of your family. Use details and add color. Remember to use good craftsmanship when adding color. :)
