1st flyer on the “5th International Workshop on Nuclear Data Covariances, 2020 (CW2020)”, September 7 to 11, 2020, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan History of covariance workshop: This workshop is the fifth one in a series, started 2008 in Port Jefferson, USA by BNL, and continued in 2011 in Vienna, Austria by the Vienna University of Technology, hosted in 2014 in Santa Fe, USA by LANL and in 2017 in Aix en Provence, France by CEA. The CW2020 workshop will be held at Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech.), Tokyo, Japan during September 7-11, 2020, one month after the 2020 Tokyo Olympic game. Tokyo Institute of Technology Purpose of CW2020: The purpose of this workshop is to bring together key scientists in the field of nuclear data measurement and evaluation, statistical analysis, nuclear reaction theory, reactor physics, and other relevant applications to review recent developments in nuclear data evaluation methodology where uncertainty quantification is involved, to assess and discuss open questions, and to exchange our ideas and expertise relevant to the covariance data. This opportunity will be particularly important for identifying areas of future cooperation amongst the participants. The workshop scope is open to contributions on a wide variety of nuclear data observables (cross sections, fission yields, energy and angle spectra, etc.), from the resonance range up to high energy range as well as for light to heavy elements.

There are 2 ways to reach Multipurpose Digital Hall: follow the blue dotted line in the map of the previous page from Tokyu Ookayama station through Main Gate, or follow the red dotted line from Tokyu Midorigaoka station through Midorigaoka Gate. From both stations it will take within 5 minutes on foot. Please notice that Ookayama may be written often as Oookayama or O-okayama. It should be pronounced as “oh-Okayama". Travel: Both of Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) and New Tokyo International Airport (Narita) can be used to come to Tokyo. Haneda airport is closer to central Tokyo (including Tokyo Tech Ookayama campus), but there will be more flights reaching Narita airport worldwide. From both Haneda and Narita, you can take a bus and/or trains to come to Tokyo Tech area, including Meguro, Shinagawa and Oimachi. For accommodation, we recommend you to stay somewhere in Meguro or Oimachi (as shown below). https://www.titech.ac.jp/english/maps/
