LICENSUREPlease note proper Florida fishing licenses are the responsibility of each
participating team member. If registrant should hire a charter, it is recom-
mended participates confirm proper licenses are provided through the
charter company.
BOATING SAFETYAny boat operated in an unsportsmanlike or unsafe manner will be disquali-
fied. Remember, Federal Law holds captains responsible for the actions of the
boat, the boat’s wake, and for all members of the crew. All boats participating
in tournament must comply with U.S.C.G, State and Federal regulations and
laws. All boats in the event can only have paid, registered anglers aboard.
REGISTRATION, FISHING START TIME & CHECK-INRegistration starts June 8th at 6:00 AM. Fishing starts June 8th at 8:00 AM,
therefore no lines in the water before 8:00 AM. All boats must submit photos
June 8th by 1:00 PM to be eligible. No exceptions.
All boats are subject to inspection by Event Coordinators at Check-In.
MISCELLANEOUSALL TOURNAMENT WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT AT TOURNAMENT
AWARDS TO RECEIVE WINNINGS.
• Boundary includes Tampa Bay and nearby inland waters.
• Charter boats are welcome. If you need a recommended charter boat,
we can have recommended one.
• This is a team/boat tournament. You may have a captain plus 4 anglers
per vessel AND as few as one (1) person can qualify as a team.
• The honor system applies throughout the entire tournament.
• All fish must be caught with hand-held rods and reels only. No hand lines,
electronic reels, gigs, spearing or netting allowed. Natural, artificial and
live baits are allowed. There are no limits on leader, hook or line size.
• All Registered boats must comply with State, Federal and U.S.C.G. safety
and fishing regulations
• Participants in the tournament enter at their own risk. FSAWWA, its offi-
cials or members, the City of Clearwater and Island Way Grill shall not
be liable for and hereby disclaim any and all legal liability for any and all
losses or damages of any kind suffered by any participant, entrant angler,
their guest and companions, boat captain, crew members, vessels and
equipment which may occur during the tournament.
• The tournament committee has the right to refuse entry to any applicant.
In the event such refusal occurs, 100% of the applicant’s entry fee will
be returned.
• Only one fish per boat, per species is eligible for a prize(s) awarded by
FSAWWA Fishing Tournament. All cash prizes will be made payable
to the registered captain of the boat which submits the fish for which a
cash prize is awarded.
PHOTO RELEASE RULESSpecies will only be accepted from a boat registered
in the tournament. Anglers are responsible for providing
their own digital photo equipment. ONLY Digital Photos
allowed. The tournament committee will not provide any
special equipment with which to photograph or view. All
photos turned in for judging will become the property of
the tournament. Smartphones are accepted – you will
be asked to email the photos at the check-in.
• Be sure camera card is cleared off of all photos
(including personal photos), with ONLY your photo
release photos!
• Photos must be taken with an official FSAWWA
measuring tape. A boat number will be assigned to
each team at check in during the captains meeting;
your number is mandatory to appear on the photo.
• Pictures must be taken with nose of fish, facing left,
flush against the tournament rule stick with pinched
tail. Picture needs to include the entire fish and
clearly show the overall length. ALL NUMBERS ON
THE RULER MUST BE VISIBLE. Tournament Team
Number must be in the photo as well.
PRIZES:1st place prizes will be awarded to the individual who
caught the fish. The rest of the winning team of will be
awarded prizes of equal or less cost of the 1st prize.

PROTESTJudges decisions will be final and based on information
present at the time of judgement. Any and all protests
shall be submitted to the event organizers for future
consideration when developing the event for the sub-
sequent year. Scoring revisions will not result from any
form of protest.
ADVERSE CONDITIONSTournament organizers will make any decisions per-
taining to weather or other adverse fishing conditions.
All decisions made by tournament organizers are final.
RULES
