The Millennium Problem in Revelation.

These are the verses Rev 20:1-10 that contains the Problem.

1 “And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they (martyrs) lived1, and reigned1 with Christ a thousand years.

5 The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him a thousand years.

7 and when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they (Gog and Magog) went up over the breadth of the land, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone…”,

The 1000 year Reign of Jesus is called the Millennium.

The problem for all Preterist or Futurist’s is,

1) when does it begin and end ? 2) Is it a literal 1000 years ?

Some extraordinary ideas have surfaced, that 1000 years began at the Resurrection of Christ and ended in AD 70, which is about 40 years.

1. “Lived” is in the Aorist tense, The Aorist is a tense that implies completed action. Generally in the Past, This means that when they begin to rule with Jesus they are already alive. These same martyrs in Rev 6.11 are told to wait a short time ( µικρὸν-micron ) and at the Parousia they are rewarded. Aorist indicates that when they are already alive when they begin to Reign with Christ.

They think 1000 years is symbolic, but it stretches the imagination to swallow this view. Why I believe, it is literally a 1000 years, is that in Rev 11, 12 & 13 the values of 1260 days and 42 months are mentioned which historically were fulfilled during the years AD 63 to AD 70 in the Jewish Roman war ending in the desolation of Jerusalem.

This leads to some insisting that if these numbers are literal, so should the 1000 years be literal and I believe they are correct.

Why is this a problem, is because since it is 2000 years from the Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ and nothing has happened in the last 2000 years to merit the Kingdom of Christ UPON Earth.

We have another explanation, that says, we are in the Millennium now but it is not an Earthly Kingdom but Spiritual Kingdom in Heaven. it began in AD 70 when the Kingdom of God was opened in Heaven and is still continuing. This is not acceptable to me, as I cannot with conviction, convince others that this is true. The reason is, it is simply not true !

The Millennium, is a rule of Jesus Christ UPON Earth. The scripture in

Rev 5:9 -10 tells us, the rule is “UPON Earth”

9 “And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you was slain, and did purchase unto God with your blood men of every tribe, and tongue, people, and nation, 10 and made them to be unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign ‘UPON1 (ἐπί) earth.

We seemed to have come to an impasse. I will prove that it is due to a massive error caused by preconceived beliefs being so established in orthodoxy. This needs to be swept aside by careful detective work.

The 1000 year Reign is indeed literal and does not contradict others scriptures.

It is so difficult for ideological beliefs to be undermined. This was the same as the Pharisees expecting the Messiah to overthrow the Romans which the Lord did not do at that time. So by their false belief they rejected God’s Son.

Remember Jesus choose 12 UN-indoctrinated men to accept His truths.

With indoctrinated Paul it to took a Divine miracle to change him.

As Jesus reminds the disciples “you cannot put New Wine in Old wineskins” Matt 9:14,17 “Then come to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast... ?

1. Greek ἐπί has the meaning of “UPON” the Earth

17 “Neither do men put New Wine into old wine-skins: else the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins perish: but they put New Wine into fresh wine-skins, and both are preserved.”

This is the same attitude today prevailing among religious folk..

They just dismiss the New understandings of Scripture and charge us with words such as “heretic, son of the devil, unbeliever etc “

The first coming of the Messiah has happened 2000 years ago, so there is no discussion required to establish this event.

So I will precede to unravel this Mystery

There 4 Divine interventions in history of Jesus Christ..

1) The coming of Jesus as a man to take away the sins of the world.

2) The Return of Jesus “The Parousia”, the unseen Presence in AD 70.

3) The conversion of Israel to Christianity in the not to distant Future.

4) The Advent of the Heavenly Kingdom after the Millennium.

The first coming of the Messiah has happened, 2000 years ago, so there is no discussion required to establish this event.

The next event was the Parousia in AD 70 which is more difficult to establish, even though THE EVIDENCE is abundant in the New Testament.

The problem is that the Greek word “mellô” in all its forms, which has the meaning of “Soon” “About to happen” “Before long.”

“Mellô” occurs 103 times in the New Testament and the translators had NO difficulty in translating this word correctly as “Soon”, in 61 cases when it is NOT referring to the Parousia. i.e. “The Second Coming”

When the context of the words, is concerning the Second Coming they deliberately replace “mellô: Soon” in 32 places with the words “should” or

“would” to hide the imminence of His UNSEEN return in AD 701

Now, why I do say “Unseen Presence” with referenced to Matt 24:3 YLT

“And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, 'Tell us, when shall these be? and what is the sign of your Presence, (Parousia) and of the end of the age?

If Jesus was VISIBLE then NO sign would be required.

Now there was a Sign in the Heavens showing His Presence by a Star visible above Jerusalem for a whole year as reported to us by the Historian Flavius Josephus.

“Thus there was a Star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued a whole year…Days after that feast, on the

one and twentieth day of the month Artemisius (Jyar), a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared; I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so a considerable nature as to deserve ‘such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armour were seen running about among the clouds,

and surroundings of cities’ ” Book 6 chap 5

Matt 24:1-6 reads as follows

1 Jesus had left the Temple and was going on His way, when His disciples came and called His attention to the Temple buildings. 2 "You see all these?" He replied; "in solemn truth I tell you that there will not

be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down."

3 Afterwards He was on the Mount of Olives and was seated there, when the disciples came to Him, apart from the others, and said,

"Tell us when this will be; and what will be the sign of your presence (Parousia) and of the Close of the Age?"

4 "Take care that no one misleads you," answered Jesus;

5 "for many will come assuming my name and saying 'I am the Christ;' and they will mislead many. 6 And you (apostles) will soon (mellô)

hear of wars and rumours of wars. Do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the End is not yet. 7 because nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom,

and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places; 8 but all these miseries are but like the early pains of childbirth.

From this scripture we learn that the Apostles were soon (mellô) to expect to hear of wars, Nations fighting, earthquakes and famines.

This all happened in their lifetime.

“All over the Roman World, and in Judea, there were wars, In Britain, Armenia, Gaul, Italy, Arabia, Parthia, and Judea.

Massacres in Alexandria, Selucia, Jamnia, Damascus and Caesarea. Famines and pestilences, everywhere and Solinus said,

“ earthquakes so constant, and cities so frequently overthrown.” Seneca says, “The world is shaken to pieces.”

“ Comets, eclipses, meteors, terrified the ignorant.” Tacitus.

99% of English translations miss out “soon” in verse 6 !! ***The main point I want you to TAKE NOTE OF, is that the Apostles were the ones given signs or indications when the Parousia was

to happen without identifying the day or hour.***

He had already told them in Matt 16:27,28

27 “For the Son of Man is “Soon” (mellô) to come in the glory of the Father with His angels, and then will He requite every man (judgement)

according to his actions. 28 I solemnly tell you that some of those who are standing here will certainly not taste death

till they have seen the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom."

This teaches the Parousia was to occur in their lifetime and some of the disciples would not die before they would witness the Parousia.

Matt 10.23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

When the Apostles started to spread the Good News throughout Palestine they would not have enough time to visit all the cities in Israel as the Parousia would overtake them.

He finished his discourse with the words in Matt 24.34

“I tell you in solemn truth that the present generation (the Apostles lifetime) will certainly not pass away without all these things having first taken place”.

He also made a promise to the Apostles in Luke 22.30

28 But you are they that have continued with me in my temptations;

29 and I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me, 30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and

you (Apostles) shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

This now leads directly to the question that the Apostles ask Jesus on the mount of Olives at His ascension. Acts 1.6-8

6 They therefore, when they were come together, asked him, saying, Lord, are you at this time restoring the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he

said unto them, It is NOT for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within His own authority. 8 But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses

both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the land1.

1. Remember in Greek there is only one word for “earth” or “land” = γέ

Observe in this conversation that, the Apostles were NOT GIVEN any signs to look for, UNLIKE the Parousia where signs were DEFINITLEY given.

This proves, the Parousia is NOT the same event as Israel’s Restoration.

Unfortunately the futurists all believe that at Christ’s Second coming, Israel will be attacked by GOG, and then saved and converted and be restored.

But the attack by GOG is AFTER the Millennium, not BEFORE Rev 20:7,8

The truth is, it has been a Massive mistake that the futurists have made. 7 When the thousand years have ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of saints, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

Jesus said in Luke 21 that after all the calamities visited on Israel, then the Kingdom would be established at His Second Coming Luke 21:20-9

20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near... 29 He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees. 30 When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. 31 Even so, when you see these things happening (the desolation of Israel), you know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 “Truly I tell you, this generation will

certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.”

What this teaches us is, that at the Parousia, Israel has been rejected, Jerusalem destroyed, and the Kingdom is established in Heaven, but there will be A Restoration of unbelieving Israel at some point in the future, which is the 3rd divine intervention. Matt 19.28

“And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, That you, who have followed me, in THE REGENERATION when the Son of man shall sit in

the throne of his glory (UPON Earth Rev 5:10) you also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

THIS REGENERATION does NOT occur at the Parousia but at the conversion of Israel. This confirmed by Paul in Rom 11:25-27

25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a

hardening in part until THE FULL NUMBER of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

“The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”

This Regeneration of Israel is called the Davidic Kingdom. We will turn to Ezekiel and the Old Testament Prophets to establish this.

Now to show the evidence of these prophecies about the inauguration of the Davidic Kingdom. We begin with Ezek 34:13-31

13 I will bring them ( Israel ) out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will

pasture them on the mountains of Israel, 14 I will tend them in a good pasture, and the mountain heights of Israel will be their grazing land. 15 I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the

Sovereign Lord. 16 I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak,

I will shepherd the flock with justice... 23 I will place over them one shepherd, MY SERVANT DAVID, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd. 24 I the Lord

will be their God, and MY SERVANT DAVID WILL BE PRINCE among them. I the Lord have spoken.

25 “‘I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of savage beasts so that they may live in the wilderness and sleep in the forests in safety. 27 The trees will yield their fruit and the ground will yield its crops; the people will be secure in their land. 28 They will no longer be plundered by the nations, nor will wild animals devour them.

(Isa 65) They will live in safety, and no one will make them afraid.

29 I will provide for them a land renowned for its crops, and they will no longer be victims of famine in

the land or bear the scorn of the nations.

30 Then they will know that I, the Lord their God, am with them and that they, the Israelites, are my people, declares the Sovereign Lord.

31 You are my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, and I am your God, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

We perceive from this prophecy God will bring Israel out of the Nations and bring back to the Land of Palestine and set up the Davidic Kingdom with David as their Prince.

Again the Restoration of Israel is assured in Ezek 36:16-36

16 Again the word of the Lord came to me: 17“Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions... 19 I dispersed them among the nations,

and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions.

20 And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them, ‘These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’ 21 I had concern for my holy name, which the people of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.

22 “Therefore say to the Israelites, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: It is not for your sake, people of Israel,

that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone... 24 “‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from

all the countries and bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean;

I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;

I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees

and be careful to keep my laws. 28 Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.

29 I will save you from all your uncleanness... 32 I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake,

declares the Sovereign Lord. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!

33 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be

rebuilt. 34 The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it. 35 They will say, “This land that

was laid waste has become LIKE THE GARDEN OF EDEN; the cities that were lying in ruins,

desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited.” 36 Then the nations around you that remain will know that I the Lord have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate.

I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it.’

Restoration, shown as a valley of dry bones becoming alive Ezek 37:1-27

1 The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”

4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord ! 5 This is what the

Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath a enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin;

I will put breath in you, and you will come to life.

Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them

and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them. 11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone;

we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people,

I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel (Palestine). 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. 15 The word of the Lord came to me: 16 “Son of man, take a stick of

wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘

Belonging to Joseph (that is, to Ephraim) and all the Israelites associated with him.’ 17 Join them together into one stick

so that they will become one in your hand. 18 “When your people ask you, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by

this?’ 19 say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph—which is in Ephraim’s hand—

and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick. I will make them into a single stick of wood,

and they will become one in my hand.’ 21 and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the

Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land.

22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be ONE KING over all of them and

they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms.

24 “‘MY SERVANT DAVID WILL BE KING over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. 25 They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the

land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever

and DAVID MY SERVANT WILL BE THEIR PRINCE FOREVER. 26 I will make a covenant of peace with them; it will be an everlasting

covenant. I will establish them and increase their numbers, and I will put my sanctuary among them forever. 27 My dwelling place will be with

them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.

1. When you see the word “forever” it is a translated from the Hebrew “olam” which has the meaning of “Long duration” in the past or the future. Strongs 5769.

28 Then the nations will know that I the Lord make Israel holy, when my sanctuary is among them forever.’”

These Scriptures tell us that sometime in the future their will be a united Kingdom of Israel with David established as their Prince. Therefore this is another reason why the Apostles expected the Restoration of Israel.

This time in the future is prophesied by Isaiah when there will be no more war. This has never ever happened in all the History of Mankind.

World Wide peace ensues. Isa 2:1-5

1 This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem: 2 In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established

as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.

3 Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.”

The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 4 He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears

into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they learn for war anymore.

5 Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord.

This is the time when war ceases in the Davidic Kingdom. Again this is Prophesied in Hosea 3:4,5

4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without pillar, and without

ephod or teraphim: 5 afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek Jehovah their God, and DAVID THEIR KING, and shall

come with fear unto Jehovah and to his goodness in the latter days.

It is the same in Jeremiah, he tells us more about this Davidic Kingdom.

1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says:

‘Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you. 3 The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity a and restore them to the land

I gave their ancestors to possess,’ says the Lord.” 4 These are the words the Lord spoke concerning Israel and Judah: 8

“‘In that day,’ declares the Lord Almighty,

9 they will serve the Lord their God and DAVID THEIR KING, whom I will raise up for them. The Resurrection of King David.

10 “‘So do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, Israel,’ declares the Lord. ‘I will surely save you out of a distant place,

your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.. 24.

In the latter days you will understand this” Jer 30:1-3, 9, 10, 24

The New Covenant with Israel not with the Gentiles. Jer 31:31-37 31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make

a New Covenant (of Grace in Jesus Christ) with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. 32 It will not be like the covenant

I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant,

though I was a husband to them, ” declares the Lord. 33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it

on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 34 No longer will they teach their neighbour, or say to one another,

‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive

their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” 35 This is what the Lord says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day,

who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar, the Lord Almighty is his name:

36 “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,” declares the Lord, “will Israel ever cease being a nation before me.” declares the Lord.

37 This is what the Lord says: “Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel

because of all they have done,” declares the LORD. The conditions in THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM are described by Isa 65:17-25

The conditions seem to emulate the Garden of Eden, except DEATH is still present in this DAVIDIC KINGDOM.

17 “See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.

18 But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy. 19 I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people;

the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.

The reader will notice in verse 20, that the New Heavens and New Earth, death still occurs, therefore this Heavens and Earth are in different time sequence, than the New Heavens and New Earth in Rev 21 where DEATH ceases to exist.

The expression in Scripture of a New Heavens and a New Earth depicts a great change in the Systems of Ruling Mankind, not changing the physical Sun, Moon and the Earth.

20 “Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; the one who dies

at a hundred will be thought a mere child; the one who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed. 21 They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

22 No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my

people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands. (extended life times, the same as before the flood)

23 They will not labour in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them. 24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain,”

The Restoration of Israel in THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM foretold by Amos 9:9-15

11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of DAVID that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins,

and I will build it as in the days of old...14 And I will bring back the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and

inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

5 And I will plant them in their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, saith Jehovah thy God.

We have seen how God is going to Restore Israel to their former glory lead by King David and NEVER FALL AWAY AGAIN. This is why the Apostles ask Jesus are you going to restore the Kingdom to Israel. Jesus had promise them that they would be the Rulers with Him at that time.

Luke22:28-30, 28 But you are they that have continued with me in my temptations; 29 and I appoint unto you a kingdom, even as my Father appointed unto me, 30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my

kingdom; and you shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And again the Regeneration Matt 19.28, “And Jesus said to them,

"Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in THE REGENERATION when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

The important point to notice is they ONLY sit on their thrones when the Lord Regenerates the world, i.e. The DAVIDIC KINGDOM ONLY begins when Israel is converted to Christianity.

The Davidic government includes all those wise virgins compose of Jews and Gentiles. Rev 5:9-10 9 And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll

and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and

people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign UPON EARTH.”

You CANNOT have the Apostles sat on Thrones in the land of Israel without Israel dwelling in their land. This tells us that the Millennium, THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM begins when Israel is converted and God forgives all their sins through Jesus Christ

Since the Parousia The Lord Jesus has been separating mankind into sheep and goats according to their works until the full number has been collected into His fold. The first Resurrection occurred in AD 70 when the righteous dead are Judged by Christ and enter the Heavenly Kingdom.

This Heavenly Kingdom is not the Earthly DAVIDIC KINGDOM when Israel as a Nation is redeemed and dwells in peace and security in Palestine.

The Parable of the Separation of the Sheep and Goats Matt 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes (Parousia) in his glory, (AD 70) and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.

(The apostles are not sitting on their thrones) 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and

you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?

38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?

39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

A continual INVISIBLE PAROUSIA since AD 70

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Note it is not your “opinions” how you are judged, but by your WORKS.

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the age

1 of fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat,

I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me,

I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help

you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away into the age of chastisement2,

but the righteous into the age life.” This selection continues throughout the church age till the full number of Gentiles come into the Kingdom of God.

It is now clear that the DAVIDIC KINGDOM with Apostles on thrones is the 1000 year Millennium rule. It is called the camp of the saints in Rev 20:9.

The Millennium Reign begins NOT at the Return of Christ called the Parousia BUT at the Conversion of Israel.

If we now turn to Ezek 38 where Israel has been dwelling in security in Un-Walled villages and the attack of Gog occurs in the Latter Days.

1 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of a Meshek and Tubal; prophesy against him 3 and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign

Lord says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords 7 “‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you,

and take command of them. 8 After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to

the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety.

9 You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.

10 “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme.

11 You will say, “I will invade a land of Un-Walled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—

all of them living without walls and without gates and bars.

14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: In that day, when

my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations

with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army.

16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, In LATTER DAYS

I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.

18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused,

declares the Sovereign Lord. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.

20 The fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be

overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground.

21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed;

I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulphur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.

23 And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations.

Then they will know that I am the Lord.’

This is an exactly mirrored by Rev 20:7-10, 7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of

the earth—Gog and Magog—and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.

9 They marched across the breadth of the land and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. (Jerusalem)

But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

This Table shows the direct correlation between Ezekiel and Revelation.

So now we can see that the 1000 year Reign begins with THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM, which in turn begins when Israel turns to Christ and the Apostles take up their task of judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

What your have to grasp, is there is A DELAY between the Parousia and the conversion of Israel, because they are NOT the same event. This has been a GREAT ERROR to start the 1000 year reign at the Parousia.

Since AD70 the Lord has been ruling in the midst of His enemies. Notice He does not eliminate His enemies from the Earth, that is going to happen at the beginning of THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM. Ps 110:1,2

1 “Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2 Jehovah will send forth the rod of thy

strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.”

The Restoration of THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM is set forth in the Prophecy of Zech chapter 12 and the Termination of THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM and the in-auguaration of Permanent Heavenly Kingdom and the final judgement of all Mankind, is depicted in Zech 14 and Rev 21.

At this present time Israel is being re-established in Palestine. Remember they reject the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Messiah. At God’s appointed time the events in Zech 12:1-10 will begin to take place. There will be major attack on Israel by their enemies after which the Lord steps in and saves them as He did in former days and they turn to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by His appearance to them and this is the birth of THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM.

1 The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus saith Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays

the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling unto all the peoples

round about, and upon Judah shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem.

Ezekiel

38.1-23 The attack of Gog and Magog against the un-walled

villages of restored Israel dwelling in peace and security with

David their King.

Revelation

20. After 1000 years heavenly rule of Jesus Christ then the attack of

Gog and Magog against the camp of God’s Holy Ones.

3 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the peoples;

all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the land shall be gathered together against it... 6 that day will I make the chieftains of Judah like a pan of fire among

wood, and like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and they of

Jerusalem, yet again shall dwell in their own place, in Jerusalem... 8 In that day shall Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as DAVID; and the house

of DAVID shall be as God, as the Angel of Jehovah before them. 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy

all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of DAVID, and upon

the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and THEY SHALL LOOK UNTO ME WHOM THEY HAVE PIERCED;

and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.

Thus begins THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM when Israel recognises the Lord Jesus, as their Messiah, King and Saviour whom they crucified.

At the termination of THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM In Zech 14:1-9 we have the mount of olives split in two and the water eminating from Jerusalem..

Revelation is the mirror account of Ezekiel and Zechariah. 1 Behold, a day of Jehovah cometh, when thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations (Gog and Magog)

against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into

captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall Jehovah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when

he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall be split in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of

the mountain shall remove to the north, and half of it to the south.

This has never happen in Palestine to this day in 2020. 5 And ye shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azel; yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from

before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah; and Jehovah my God shall come, and all the holy ones with thee.

6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that there shall not be light; the bright ones shall withdraw themselves:

7 but it shall be one day which is known unto Jehovah; not day, and not night; but it shall come to pass, that at evening time there shall be light. 8 And it shall come to pass in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them

toward the western sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9 And Jehovah shall be King over all the earth:

in that day shall Jehovah be one, and his name one.

Living waters emanate from Jerusalem as prophesied in Rev 22:1-5 1 And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal,

proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the midst of the street thereof. And on this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve manner of fruits, yielding its fruit every month:

and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no curse any more: and the throne of God

and of the Lamb shall be therein: and his servants shall serve him; 4 and they shall see his face; and his name' shall be on their foreheads.

5 And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light:

and they shall reign for ever and ever.

This was all prophesied by Ezek 47:1-12 1 And he brought me back unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward;

(for the forefront of the house was toward the east;) and the waters came down from under,

from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar. 2 Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me round by the way without unto the outer gate,

by the way of the gate that looketh toward the east; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side...

12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow every tree for food, whose leaf shall not whither,

neither shall the fruit thereof fail: it shall bring forth new fruit every month, because the waters thereof issue out of the sanctuary;

and the fruit thereof shall be for food, and the leaf thereof for healing.

Next I will deal with the Scripture that might cast doubt on this Scenario. This is the only objection to this truth about the Millennium Rev 12:12.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels going forth to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels;

8 And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down

to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. 10 And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come

the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down,

who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb,

and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death.

12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe for the earth and for the sea:

because the devil is gone down unto you, having great wrath (AD 70), knowing that he hath but a little ( ὀλίγον = little) time.

We know Satan was thrown out of Heaven PRIOR to the birth of Jesus.

In the Book of Daniel Chap.10 there is a description of the Spirit Wars in the Heaven, with Michael the Archangel battling the Evil Spirits of Persia and Greece. He is the ONE and ONLY Archangel known to Scripture, who has the power to eject Satan.

Recall in the Book of Job, Satan has access to both Heaven and Earth.

After Satan is ejected, Michael (Jesus) leaves Heaven for the Incarnation to become the Messiah. This explains why Satan does not know who Jesus really was because of what he says to Jesus, at the temptation !

“IF YOU ARE THE Son of God….” Luke 1:35.

Also take Note of the total absence of Michael in any an active role in the New Testament, as His identity now reverts to Jesus !

In Rev 12, and Jude 9 Michael’s appearance occurs ONLY in past events.

Satan knew from Gabriel's testimony that Jesus was to be called the Son of God. When Satan is thrown out of Heaven, the Heavens are cleansed from Evil and Satan is NOT Privy any more to what God is going to do.

For Satan has no knowledge, that the Messiah is his old enemy Michael. He finds this Truth out when Jesus is raised from the dead. It is then that the Angels learn that their Captain-Michael is none other than The Lord Himself. Hebrews tells us “let all God’s angels worship the Him.1 When the Man-child is about to be born, Satan is already waiting there READY to kill the Child. He fails and The child is then taken to Heaven out of danger. This is the ascension of Jesus and the First Resurrection.

Since the Child is Michael, Satan and his Angels must have been ejected from Heaven by Michael (pre-incarnate Christ) prior to the Birth of the Child. After Satan’s failure to kill the child and the Woman, it makes him so angry he goes elsewhere to kill the other children of the Woman.

Now Satan has been at war against God from before Adam was created therefore because he has been ejected from Heaven, he knows his time for judgment is near. Revelation tells us he believes he has little time left to exercise his power.

The Gospel was destined to be preached everywhere and this has continued for 2000 years. The 2000 years length was Un-Expected by ourselves and Satan too had no idea of how long he has to try and defeat Christianity.

In the due process of time through the centuries, Satan now sees Israel returning to Palestine and he becomes insane and tries to exterminate the Jewish Nation in the Nazi concentration Camp but fails again. This is an indication that that the time is finally up, for him to arrested by the Angel with a long chain, and thrown into the abyss for a 1000 years..

After the failure of trying to exterminate the Christians in Rev 12 Satan knows his power is coming to an end. Satan’s Reign by then has been in-excess of 4000 years. The Scripture tells us that Satan believed he had little time left but he was mistaken because he did not realise the Gospel was to go to the whole world and that would take time. There is time gap between The Parousia and the beginning of THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM.

In Rev 19:11-16 is described the Battle of Jesus Christ against the World.

It is a Symbolic Vision with the Jesus Christ’s Sword in His mouth which is “THE WORD OF GOD.” Now that Battle has lasted throughout the last 2000 years. When this is completed and God has called the full number of Christians into His flock, then it is time to totally incarcerate Satan.

Finally in Rev 20 Satan is captured by the Angel with the great chain and puts him in the bottomless pit for 1000 years so he could not interfere with THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM.

So in Satan’s mind comparing this with his previous history 4000+ years, for him it is little time. He just knew his time is up but had no idea when !!

The truth is we really did not believe ourselves there would be a delay of 2000 years for the Redemption of Israel. There are lots of gaps in the Bible History where heaven is silent, There was at the beginning 1656 years from Adam to the flood, from Malachi to Jesus 400 years where it seems that The Heaven are shut.

What we can say is from Abraham to Jesus was about 2000 years when God dealt with Israel, then 2000 years from Jesus to the beginning of Israel returning to Palestine. This last 2000 is called the times of the Gentiles, which began after the desolation of Jerusalem Luke 21:24

“They will fall by the sword, or be carried off into slavery among all the Gentiles. And Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles,

until the appointed times of the Gentiles have expired.”

Satan is arrested in Rev 20.1, and the Scripture has NO time indication when this was to occur. We did not know 2000 years would pass, before the movement of God to establish Israel back in their land of Palestine.

Let us examine the Evidences for a delay between the Parousia and the Regeneration of The DAVIDIC KINGDOM.

It is true that the New Testament shows that the 1st generation of Christians expected the return of Jesus in their lifetime. Matt 16:27,28.

“For the Son of Man is SOON to come in the glory of the Father with His angels, and then will He requite every man according to his actions.

I solemnly tell you that some of those who are standing here will certainly not taste death till they have seen

the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom."

Matt 24:34 “Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.”

The question is what were they to expect would happen after His Return.

We know from Scripture that in AD 70 in the unseen world that the 1st Resurrection took place. Dan12.1, Rev 11:18. and Jesus was given all power in Heaven and Earth.

Jesus indicated that after the Great Tribulation on the Jewish Nation, with utter destruction of Jerusalem, that it would never occur again on the city.

Now, If it was truly to be the end of world, then His statement has no meaning because there be no world for anything to happen. His statement indicated that the world would continue after Jerusalem was destroyed. He even said that Jerusalem’s desolation would not continue indefinitely but at sometime in the future the City would be restored.

Luke 21.25 “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.”

In the Prophecies in the Old Testament it gives the impression that when the Messiah comes there would be an immediate destruction of the World powers Dan 2. 7:13,14 but until history unfolded we did not understand that Jesus first had to pay the penalty for sin and the Gospel was to go also to the gentiles.

Even though it is plainly taught there are stages of God’s dealings, they can only be unravelled as history advances. We are now in that position again since Israel is returning as non-believers in Jesus as their Messiah.

Another Proof that there is a delay is that the Apostles were NOT allowed to know of the time of the the 3rd advent when the restoration of the Kingdom of Israel was to occur that is, THE DAVIDIC KINGDOM set up.

What is really necessary is that we have to revise what our Biblical expectation of the future is going to be. Do not be like the Pharisees with “set in stone” ideas.

My Axiom. “It is a Tragedy to believe something for 30 years when it is in fact not True and where there is evidence that proves it is an error.”

To Summarise what we have proved concerning the 1000 year Reign.

The Mistake that has been is that Christians who are Preterists or Futurists have been brought up with the idea that the Millennium begins at the Parousia. This has spawned lots of theories to explain away this Gap. The solution has been there all the time and has been missed because we depend on Bible Translations by men who have preconceived ideas.

If we use an interlinear Bible many of these ideas can be scrapped.

The 1000 year reign with Christ on earth begins at the Conversion of Israel with the Apostles sitting on Thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel regenerating the Davidic Kingdom as prophesied in Ezekiel, Jeremiah with Isaiah, and the minor Prophets.

The Table summaries the correlation between Ezekiel and Revelation.
