On Tuesday 23rd Febuary, the “No Sweat Parenting”evening with Pio Terei was held in the Bream BayCollege auditorium. The Bream Bay CommunitySupport Trust and the organising committee, wouldlike to thank the community and businesses for theawesome support, monetary donations and the provisionof spot prizes.‘No Sweat Parenting’ operates on a no-threat, no-blamebasis; there are no perfect parents! Relevant, practicalparenting skills are made accessible to parents whomight normally be put off by a lecture-style approach
by using plenty of humour,anecdotes and stories. Theprogramme is professionalwhile being incrediblywarm, interactive andentertaining.The evening was a success.Without the people, thenight would have not havehappened, so well donecommunity. We had100 people attend, alsochildcare, which had 26children. Cans of food weregiven from those attendingthe Seminar, which weredonated to the food banks inthe area. We have had some
