~!"The backbone of any high school

IS ItS athletic teams, and Highland Pork High has abackbone that con never be bent. It is strong andstraight and true. This is sports at HPHS.

Observing sports ranked just as high as partici-pating in them at Highland Pork this year, as theattendance ot the contests proved. In the fall, leavesand thrills were plenty at the cross country meetsand the field hockey and football games. The winterseason meant plenty of snow and excitement at theswimming meets and the basketball games. Thespring was a time of flowers, love and, of course,tennis, track, golf and baseball.

All of these sports meant entertainment, prideand excitement for Porkers in '59.
